We recently connected with Sherry Bainbridge PhD and have shared our conversation below.
Sherry, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
With numerous injuries and a multiple trauma survivor I am here to share how to get to the otherside of these. Trained in Eastern, Tribal and Western healing and spiritual philosophies I strive to broaden thinking and knowledge. 3rd book Reboot, Reclaim and Refocus Nutrition. A real conversation about energetic and physical nutrition. Also starting a podcast The Looking Veil that combines ancient, energy and spirit knowledge with scientific evidence for personal growth and world understanding. Creating clarity in the confusion.
Sherry, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My company is Holustic Collaboration. The logo is an extraterrestrial symbol that I saw in a vision and 2 years later was informed of the meaning. The podcast us the last thing on earth I wanted to do. But we often find the one thing we resist the most us the one you might should be doing. The podcast is a means to share what others seeking truth and understanding need to know. The podcast opens that door. Amazing people involved. You can’t play the life-game without knowing what the game is. The Looking Veil offers this.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I am a multiple trauma survivor. Have injuries from head to toe and told I would spend my life on the couch at 350 pounds. I said no and chose otherwise. I died at 9 and chose to come back knowing I had a purpose to meet. At one point the oncologist wanted to do immediate aggressive chemotherapy and I refused. I am the only one they have found in the world that lowered and have kept low the marker that resulted in the diagnosis of polycythemia vera.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I learned the importance of changing thinking! It us the key to understanding or at least partially understanding the world we are in and our role in it.
