We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sherrie Parchman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sherrie below.
Sherrie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
The funny thing about this question is that when people see me out and about, the most common thing I hear is, “You’re the Crab Lady!” While I love cooking seafood, wings, and soul food, I hope to be remembered not just for the food, but for the way I treat my customers and my genuine love for meeting new people. It’s the connections and the positive impact I leave on others that I want to be remembered for.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
At Shree’s Crab Bucket, we specialize in serving up fresh, flavorful seafood and wings that bring a taste of joy to every bite. What started as a part-time passion for festivals and concerts turned into a full-time business that’s centered around our love for seafood and our desire to connect with people through great food and exceptional service.
Our journey began in 2008 when my cousin, who was selling fish at the Wash Pot Festival in Garfield, Georgia, shared how successful he was. That conversation sparked a chain of events that led to us buying a food truck and hitting the festival scene around metro Atlanta. It was a fun, part-time venture at first—just a way for us to share our love of seafood with others while enjoying the lively atmosphere of festivals and concerts. But over time, we realized how much we enjoyed making people happy with our food and the experiences we created. In 2017, we moved to Savannah, and in 2020, after being laid off due to the pandemic, we decided to take a leap of faith and open a permanent location at a local gas station.
What sets Shree’s Crab Bucket apart is not just the delicious seafood and wings we serve, but the relationships we’ve built with our customers. We pride ourselves on treating every person like family, always striving to make them feel welcome and valued. We’re not just about food; we’re about creating experiences and memories that people can enjoy with every visit.
Our menu features a variety of seafood dishes, including our signature crabs and shrimp, as well as mouth-watering wings, cajun dishes, and soul food. We aim to deliver high-quality, flavorful meals that satisfy every craving. Our customers come to us not only for a great meal but for the warm, welcoming atmosphere we offer. Although we are a take-out only restaurant, we want everyone to leave with a smile.
What I’m most proud of is the community we’ve built around our brand. The connections we’ve made with our customers—who feel like family—mean the world to us. It’s the people we serve that make all the hard work worth it.
For potential customers and followers, we want you to know that at Shree’s Crab Bucket, we’re not just serving food—we’re serving an experience. When you visit us, you’re not just another customer; you’re part of the family. We’re passionate about what we do, and we’re committed to making sure every meal is a memorable one. Come for the seafood, stay for the experience!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
At Shree’s Crab Bucket, we believe consistency has been key in building our reputation within the market. Consistency in both the flavors and the way we prepare our food, as well as in the experience we provide to our customers, has helped us stand out. We pride ourselves on offering an inviting and welcoming atmosphere, where customers feel valued and treated like family. It’s not just about the food—it’s about creating a positive, memorable experience every time someone walks through our doors. Our focus on high-quality ingredients, great service, and fostering genuine relationships with our community has helped us build trust and loyalty, which has been crucial to our success.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A story that truly illustrates our resilience happened when our lease ended at the gas station, and we found a new location for Shree’s Crab Bucket. We were excited about the move, but when we got into the new space, we discovered that the building had more problems than we initially anticipated. There were significant repairs needed, and it became clear that we had to put in a lot of time, effort, and money to make the space work for our restaurant After 18 months of hard work, we finally reopened our business March 21, 2024,
