Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sherri Ann Flanders. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sherri Ann, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea of Women of Dynamic Change® was birthed during one of the hardest seasons of my life. What started through grief slowly became purpose. Women of Dynamic Change® is a nonprofit organization created to empower, support, and uplift women through wellness, healing, leadership, personal development, and community support.
While navigating motherhood, working full-time as a Registered Nurse, and trying to heal emotionally behind the scenes, I realized how many women silently carry pain while still showing up for everyone else. I wanted to create a safe and intentional space where women could feel seen, supported, empowered, and reminded that even after difficult seasons, there is still purpose, healing, growth, and possibility.
Women of Dynamic Change® became more than an organization for me — it became a reflection of resilience, faith, healing, and the belief that women deserve community and support while navigating real life.
Today, the organization creates intentional spaces for women through wellness events, leadership conversations, networking experiences, community initiatives, and Real Talk for Real Life® Podcast, where authentic conversations surrounding healing, growth, boundaries, purpose, and life experiences are shared openly.
My goal is to continue building a platform that reminds women they do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone and that their stories, voices, healing, and growth all matter.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My name is Sherri Ann, and I am a Child of God, Mother of two, Grandmother of one,
Registered Nurse, Certified Professional Coach, and founder of Women of Dynamic Change® (WODC), a nonprofit organization. I also host Real Talk for Real Life®, a platform centered around authentic conversations that help women navigate real-life challenges and growth.
My journey into this work came after losing my husband to COVID in 2020 while continuing to work full-time as a nurse and raising my son. During that painful season, I realized how many women silently struggle while still trying to show up for everyone else. That experience inspired me to create a safe and supportive space where women could feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered holistically — mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and professionally.
Through Women of Dynamic Change®, we provide empowerment workshops, coaching, wellness initiatives, networking/connection opportunities, and recognition initiatives like Dynamic Woman of the Month and She Is Seen monthly encouragement tokens.
What sets our work apart is authenticity. Everything created through Women of Dynamic Change® is rooted in lived experience, resilience, healing, and purpose. WODC’s mission is simple: to help women rise, shine, heal, grow, and realize they are capable of overcoming life’s challenges while becoming the best version of themselves.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One story that truly illustrates my resilience is becoming a teenage mom at a very young age. At a time when many people may have expected me to struggle or give up on my goals, I made the decision that my circumstances would not define my future. Becoming a young mother forced me to grow up quickly, become responsible early, and learn how to navigate life with strength, determination, and perseverance.
There were many challenges balancing motherhood and raising a daughter, school, responsibilities, and trying to build a future for myself while still growing into adulthood. I had moments of fear, uncertainty, exhaustion, and feeling overwhelmed, but I kept pushing forward. I learned how to adapt, stay focused, and continue working toward my goals even when life felt difficult.
That journey ultimately shaped the woman I am today. It taught me resilience, discipline, empathy, and how to keep moving forward regardless of obstacles. Looking back, those experiences prepared me for many of the challenges I would later face in life in later years, including balancing a demanding nursing career, navigating grief after losing my husband who I had known for 20 years, and building Women of Dynamic Change® while raising our son who was only one years old, when my husband passed away.
Becoming a teenage mom taught me that difficult seasons do not have to stop your purpose. Sometimes the very experiences that challenge us the most become the foundation for the strength, compassion, and vision we later use to help others.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I’ve been intentionally building my social media presence since 2023, and one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that it’s truly a marathon, not a race. Growth takes time, consistency, patience, and grace with yourself along the journey.
The biggest advice I would give anyone starting out is to stay authentic. Be yourself and stay true to your mission, vision, and purpose. Social media can easily make you compare yourself to others or feel pressured to constantly change what you’re doing based on trends, but that can create confusion and take you away from your true brand.
For the type of work I do in empowerment, wellness, and personal development, I had to understand that impact matters more than instant validation. There are billions of people in the world, and the right people will connect with your message and find value in what you offer.
Stay intentional about what you post, remain consistent, and give yourself grace during the process. For me, social media is not just about followers — it’s about creating impact, building community, and helping women feel seen, supported, and empowered through Women of Dynamic Change® and Real Talk for Real Life®.
Most importantly, trust your journey, stay in your own lane, and allow God to guide the rest!
