Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sherie. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sherie, appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Every time I’ve faced a fear or felt held back by fear, I’ve discovered that just beyond it lies growth, abundance, and powerful manifestation. On the other side of fear is always expansion. Years ago, I made a commitment to myself: to say yes (within reason) —especially to the things that scare me. Taking that leap is the risk I choose to take again and again. I refuse to stay stagnant. I thrive in motion, in trailblazing, in choosing courage over comfort. It has turned out amazing so far!

Sherie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Azadi Healing was born from my personal journey of liberation—emotionally, spiritually, and physically. The word Azadi means freedom, and that word perfectly captures both the heart of my healing path and the mission I now carry forward into the world. After years of navigating my own trauma, seeking deeper spiritual connection, and working through the fear that often holds us back from becoming who we’re meant to be, I made a personal pact: to say yes to anything that felt terrifying and expansive. That commitment became the foundation for my life—and ultimately, for Azadi Healing.
I entered the healing arts because I was called to heal myself which led me to my community: so many people, are carrying emotional pain and generational trauma and need safe, holistic spaces to process or release it. I was already drawn to energy work, ancestral healing, and spiritual practice, but it wasn’t until I began facilitating circles and offering sessions that I truly understood the power of holding space for others. Over time, what began as one-on-one support blossomed into collective care, accessibility, and deep transformation.
I’m most proud of the spaces we create—spaces where people feel seen, held, and empowered to reclaim their inner light. Whether someone is attending a grief circle, receiving Reiki on a tough day, or finding community in a group retreat, the intention is always the same: freedom through healing.
To anyone who crosses paths with Azadi Healing, I want you to know: you are not broken, and you are not alone. Healing is your birthright, and you don’t have to walk that path in isolation. We’re here to support you every step of the way—with heart, with care, and with the kind of courage that says yes to growth, even when it feels hard.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In 2019, my father made the heartbreaking decision to leave this Earth by suicide. That moment changed me at my core. His absence cracked me open—and through that pain, a new fire was lit within me. I chose to transmute the grief into something sacred. With the love of my children, my ancestors, my father, my family, my community—and the pain that carved new space in my heart—I stepped fully into my own healing. This is the most profound experience I can share that showed me true resilience.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve had to unlearn is the belief that I need everyone’s input or approval to move forward on my path. For a long time, I was conditioned to believe that safety came from consensus—that if I could gather enough opinions, validate my choices through others, or get reassurance before making a move, then I’d be making the “right” decision. But all that did was drown out my own voice. It kept me disconnected from my intuition, second-guessing my inner knowing, and constantly searching outside myself for answers that were already within.
Over time—and especially through my healing journey—I’ve come to understand that clarity doesn’t come from external noise. It comes from inner alignment. From stillness. From trusting the guidance of my ancestors, my body, my spirit, and the energy around me. The more I returned to myself, the more I realized: no one else can walk my path, and no one else needs to understand it in order for it to be valid.
This doesn’t mean I don’t value wise counsel or community—it means I no longer abandon my own truth in search of theirs. My power lives in my sovereignty. My freedom lives in trusting myself.
