We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sherelle Daniel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sherelle below.
Hi Sherelle , thanks for joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Not only do I host my own talk show “Real Talk With Relly” but I am also the owner of a lip gloss company called “The B. Kai Collection” This May sound crazy but for both business, I needed to get the logo made first. Normally that is considered a last step but I needed to see the vision. I needed something to base the rest of my ideas off of. Seeing the logo first helped me with the type of set up I wanted for my talk show. And from there the rest of the ideas just started pouring in.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
So for those of you who haven’t heard of me, I go by the name of Relly B. I am a talk show host of my own talk show. At first I started reaching out to only artist but as my show grew more, a lot of small business owners reached out to me.
I orginally wanted to work in radio, but the radio industry is changing from what it use to be. I figured why wait on opportunities to come to me, so I decided to create my own platform.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I already have a small social media name, my first post was kinda like a coming soon video. I did a fun little video just so everyone could see the studio and also just to kinda get an idea of what to expect. The amount of shares, likes and comments was unbelievable and definitely not what I was expecting. Once I started posting my shows, the goal was to be consistent which grew my following base even more.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I grew up believing I help to help others. And to always be nice and kind. Running my own talk show I realized that you can’t always help others. The amount of friends and family members who we’re upset because I did not invite them on my show was insane. I interview upcoming Artist, play a portion of one of there music videos and ask them questions about the industry. So many people wanted an episode with no music video or no music back ground, and decided to be mad at me for not offering them a FREE show. I had to learn that it’s okay not to be so nice all the time when running your own business because people will try to walk all over you.
