Sherard, appreciate you joining us today. The more we talk about good leadership the more we think good leadership practices will spread and so we’d love for you to tell us a story about the best boss you’ve had and what they were like or what they did that was so great?

I was blessed to have 2 of the greatest bosses one could ever ask for.

Mr David Bonner was the 1st boss. He was great because he built a system around me that allowed me to become the top salesman in loans and investments with Chase Bank

I am the celebrity host of the Sherard Show which airs on The Pure Essense Television Network as well as Airy tv.

I interview the biggest stars in the realm of fashion, entertainment and music.

I started my career as a fashion model/agency owner. And got my big break in 2002 when I became the face of the Du-rag(s) globally.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Yes. Dealing with racism, scams and industry stereotypes would have caused most to give up. But it added to my determination to make something out of myself.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I had to build my audience for the grass roots. It was/is rather strange to live in a time where you become famous from how many likes you may have.

Nonetheless, I have adapted and would advise others to do likewise in order to have a shot and staying relevant.
