We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Shelly Castle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Shelly, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

Well ! I was working 3 jobs during Covid. I lost two of the jobs and was only doing uber for 3 months straight, 7 days a week and 12/15 hours a day. It wasn’t enough, after all the maintenance, gas, ware and tare, my food and drinks, and all my bills. So finally I had to look for another job. I found the post office. I worked there for a year and it was the worst job I ever had. I was so stressed out and depressed and didn’t want to live no more. They treated us like garage and so I told all my friends. They said no job is worth you feeling like this. So I decided to save up, get ahead 3 months on my bills and quit. I did just uber and I loved it ! It was exhausting but I had the vibes and loved turning up with people. I worked the night shift, and always was a fun driver and went above and beyond. I loved changing lives, keeping the city safe, and making an impact in the community. I had lights, karaoke 🎤, drum 🥁 set, tambourines, Mexican bongos, and so much more. So finally I lost uber, people falsely reported us drivers and just to get free rides; because they didn’t like the price. So when I lost uber, I lost my whole world. I didn’t know what to do with myself anymore. I asked God to take me out of this world or give me a reason to live and he did. He said Shelly, I am not done with you yet. He said do it and become a limo driver and start your own company. You don’t realize the struggle, when you on the other side. No payment coming in, bills just piling up, and a lot of expenses. That is how I came up with the ideal and my company. God did ! He saved my life and gave me life again and made me the strongest entrepreneur out there and motivated me to inspire others, like no other. Aspire to inspire and now I am becoming an author as well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am 45 and single and a women entrepreneur. I was born and raised in Houston Texas. I was a single mother and raised my son on my own, working 2-3 jobs all my life.

How I got into the industry, is a friend on Facebook said Shelly, come do uber with me. That you will make more than you do on your second job. I made more in one airport trip back then, in 2017 than I did on my second job. Now it is over saturated. I posted on Facebook that I was looking for a better second job and tired of struggling and not having any money. So I started uber as a 3 rd job and then quick my second job.

What services I offer? I offer limousine, chauffeur, Partybus, charter bus, and sprinter van services.

I do any occasion, both for the business clientele and party clientele.
What sets us a part? Is I go not only the first or second mile, but the 3rd and beyond. I decorate my car for any occasion, provide red carpet experience, drinks, go get anything you need to make your ride extra special( like roses 🌹 , champagnes 🍾 , candy, etc)

What problems we can solve?
Number 1 is safety! We keep your company and employees safe, and also your family friends and colleagues.
We eliminate parking issues, so you don’t have to worry about all driving separate and parking and cars getting hit or towed or can’t find parking and paying for parking.

We eliminate the worry, did everyone show up on time, did everyone arrive safely, or did they get hurt or in a accident.

Did your employees arrive at airports on time, and did you make it to your meetings on time.

And so much more ! So you can focus on what’s most important and making that energy and money and keeping your company going or enjoying time with your loved ones. So let us take the worry and stress off of you, for your transportation needs.

What are the struggles? Just financially. Just getting grants or loans or an investor, to help me get the business going. I really need help soon and that energy is all I need. That financial support and more business and raving fans.

I am most proud of all that I accomplished and all the awards I have received this year. Also for coming this far, even through the struggles. That is big in its self, just staying in business this long. Most go out of business, within the first year. I am so proud that I am becoming an author too, and my book will be out by the end of next month, hopefully!

I want my fans to know? That you can do anything you set your mind to. That I am the strongest entrepreneur and women out there. #1 entrepreneur in the universe! I am the biggest go getter ever and a hustler like no other. I am most deserving of success and abundance. I just want to be able to get my own store front, my own employees, own vehicles, keep the community safe, change lives, give people jobs and make a difference in the community.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

To be honest I don’t know! But I would say, when mystory biographies called me and they said mine was a special case. That someone referred my story to them and they were inspired and wanted my story. They wanted to do a book on me and me to become an author! It was an unimaginable moment in my life, like no other. You can’t believe how excited I was and I never imagined becoming an author ✍️ , alone becoming an entrepreneur in my life. It was life changing and phenomenal. You just can’t imagine how happy, excited, thrilled, honored, and so much more, that I was that they wanted my story. I felt so so good 😊.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Raving fans, is your best source. Just working so hard, to get people and your clients, to care and support you. Now I have a lot more raving fans; but I still need a lot more and have a long ways to go.
