Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shell Siaca. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Shell, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory of how you established your own practice.
When I first started I actually wanted to work under someone to be guided the correct way, but that wasn’t a thing when I got started. So for me, I had to take the leap and figure things out for myself. The best thing I did for my business was build trust with my followers by posting a lot of videos. Growing a successful multiple 6 figure business as of now, I wish I would’ve known to give myself more grace. I realize now, experience and knowledge truly go hand and hand. The more practice and experience, the more you will understand your artistry. That’s something that cannot be taught but requires experience.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a hyper focus soft tattooed brows artist and a medical tattoo artist. My scope of practice is focusing on the integrity of the skin and how my services heal over time. I’m known for my viral soft tattooed brows on tiktok as well as my skin camouflage treatments and 3D Areola tattoos that I provide to survivors. For many my services help them from those with alopecia in need of brows to those who have insecurities with their body from post surgery scars, stretch marks or post a mastectomy procedure. My brows are also just a breath of fresh air to be able to get up and go for many with brows that look soft and natural that can last them up to 2-3 years. I am most proud of my growth within my artistry to be able to be consistent with what I love to do.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I’m my industry you have to be great at marketing or pay somebody who is. This is critical within the type of world we live in today. Great marketing will have you booked and busy. The more people who know about you, the more likely you are to be booked. If you aren’t booked, not enough people know about you yet.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe the experience I give each client is how I’ve built a strong reputation for my business within this market. My clients love to leave reviews about their experience with me and I appreciate the reviews that help my business grow in many ways.
