Shell, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

As a spiritual practitioner and creative mind, I am passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge as opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Many individuals seek spiritual guidance and support during challenging times, and being part of this journey can be incredibly fulfilling. Additionally, the spirituality sector often emphasizes personal growth, well-being, and community, allowing people to connect with like-minded individuals and foster a sense of belonging.

The growing interest in wellness, mindfulness, and holistic practices means that there is a demand for services and products in this field. By providing valuable resources, whether through coaching, workshops, or products, I can contribute to a broader movement that encourages self-discovery and inner peace. Ultimately, entering the spirituality business has allowed me to align my passion with purpose, which has become such a rewarding endeavor both personally and professionally.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am in the spiritual/ energy work business, but I am also an artist. Part of being in alignment is having a creative outlet.
When I started my Reiki practice, I felt like it would be nice to have products my clients could go home with that are hand made by me to further them along on their journey. My creative spark quickly became a wild fire.
I was already knowledgeable in Ayurveda and crystal healing so I decided to put my knowledge to use. Thus, ‘Awen Earth’ was born.
I have a lot to offer my clients/customers because not only is this my passion but I’ve put a lot of studies into my craft and I love being able to share my own experiences.

On this journey, I’ve had the opportunity to immerse myself in ancient spiritual practices from a wide variety of cultures as well as newer practices. There are so many different avenues that work differently or more effectively for individuals. Keeping an open mind and open heart to everyone’s beliefs and needs, I’m able to provide products and services that are made with the intention to help everyone in their own unique way.
Whether it be handmade crystal jewelry, essential oil blends, herbal remedies, or a simple mindfulness technique, I am fully capable to assist, and that brings me so much joy. Creating jewelry and products that not only look beautiful or smell nice but also have a deeper purpose is also very rewarding.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

I’ve found that the most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been getting myself out there face-to-face at markets, fairs, and festivals that feature local artist and entrepreneurs. People in this community want handmade meaningful products and they want to shop local. Also, I believe in supporting other local businesses for materials, which provides networking for not only me but for them. Again, Its really appreciated when you show face. It allows people to get to know you as a person and brings depth to what you’re selling.

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?

I hand create all of my own products. My supplies are shopped as small and local as possible. Some of the things I create took me years of studying and acquiring certifications. Everything is handmade, so there is no mass production. When it comes to jewelry not one thing is exactly like the other and there’s nothing else like it in the world which makes it more valuable, more sought out, and overall special. The price I pay with hand creating my designs is the time it takes, but it’s worth it.
