Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shelbi Byrnes . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Shelbi, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
What do I hope my legacy will be? WOW, I’ve been talking about leaving a legacy since I was in middle school. What did I want to be remembered for, what would make me stand out fro the rest, what am I going to do in this world c=that is going to make hot a better place and keep people inspired for the days that I’m way past… I’ve always been a determined human, maybe it was the way I was raised, or the influence of the incredible people around me I had growing up. My mother raised me on the “word” book of proverbs, “You can do All things through Christ who strengthens you”, Asking god for wisdom in my day to day plan. The legacy I desire to leave and be remembered for was that I made a IMPACT on every one I came across, a impact so deep that it could influence the way they live their life and the way they think about themselves and everyone around them. My most powerful tool is my voce and when I walk into the room I have the control on my tongue to impact those around me in a positive way. Public speaking is one of the most feared things in the world, yet it’s my most favorite thing to do. When I speak I know I can possibly change someones life. So the legacy I desire to leave behind are the message I have for the world, for the people who may be to insecure or don’t believe in themselves, for the people struggling with depression and suicide. All it takes is for one person to impact their life and forever it can be changed.

Shelbi, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started modeling at the age 14 in Las Vegas NV, I got signed to my first agency, from there I did pageants and anything I could to get me on a stage, I loved preforming. At the age 16 I got signed to FORD MODELS worldwide and they had me move to Manhattan NYC where during my junior year of High school where I would go on castings and auditions every other day… After a few years I left my representation due to the high demand of maintaining a image at a young age and being asked to continue to “lose inches” around my hips which I had non because I was 16… my mental health and self image was at a all time low… I’m currently 25 I own my own Management now and accept all body types and talents. My fitness and health is at a all time high i’m stronger than ever and more confident than I have ever been in my life. I started my Management a few years ago I represent Singer, actors, Fire performers, Models, Makeup artist, hair stylist, photographers and videographers. You need it we got it. Las Vegas is the city of entertainment, conventions and commercials. I assist and book the talent for corporate events bringing all the entertainment, when conventions come in town we book the brand ambassadors, if you need to film and music video or commercial we have the photographer and makeup/ hair team to meet those needs! need new content for your website? we can shoot that to and creative direct the commercial. at MENT MANAGEMENT you are MENT to be where you are! #MENTTALENT #MENTMODELS
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
going up and talking to people, its not what you know in life, its who you know, and if you come to Las Vegas I know a lot of people haha maybe its because I talk to much but I will tell you I’ve built my business solely because of who I have met in the past 11 years of my modeling career and freelancing. I maintain a certain image for myself and always treat everyone with respect, integrity is HUGE in business and my job is to make sure my clients are happy with the outcome of their event/commercials and my talent is taken care of. Anytime I go out or I’m at a convention I’m always meeting new people and people that wanton expand their businesses and that’s where I come in to help! You can not be shy when wanting to get new clients you have to get out of your comfort zone and start going cup to people you never know who you will meet!

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Keeping a high moral in the office, people work harder when they know they are cared for. I have a pretty big heart and truly do love people and everyone around me, I kn ow it sounds crazy but. just have a lot of love for people because I know life is tough and our community and people around us is what keeps its grounded and going in life, Taking time to truly get to know your staff and remembering the little things, I’m big on gift giving even if its something small, seeing someones face light up when they received a present on their desk just warms my heart and of course you have to reward for their hard work if you see someone if the work place doing more and bringing more value you have to reward them so you don’t lose them! Whether it means a bonus check, a nice lunch you can take them out on or a staff outing! theres nothing better than a loyal hardworking employee.
