We were lucky to catch up with Shekeda Holland recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Shekeda thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
As a Christian, author, and realtor, my mission is deeply rooted in the empowerment of women through the love of Christ. I believe that every woman possesses remarkable God-given gifts and talents, often undiscovered or underutilized. Through my work, I aim to inspire and encourage women to recognize their incredible capabilities, fostering an understanding that it’s never too late to embark on a new journey.
The core of my mission is to instill a sense of empowerment, reminding women that they possess the power to maximize their potential, irrespective of their past experiences or current situations. It’s about emphasizing the strength that lies within each individual and the ability to script a new narrative, one that aligns with their aspirations and God’s purpose for their lives.
I ardently advocate that if something no longer serves its purpose in a woman’s life, she has the inherent strength and authority to make the necessary changes.
This might mean stepping away from circumstances, relationships, or mindsets that hinder personal growth and well-being. I seek to empower women to embrace the courage to make such transformative decisions, believing in the promise that God can create something new and beautiful, regardless of their past or current circumstances.
It doesn’t matter where a woman has been—whether in terms of struggles, setbacks, or missed opportunities. I firmly believe that God’s love and grace offer the opportunity for a fresh start, a chance to pursue dreams, embrace talents, and manifest untapped potential.
This mission is not only about realizing individual potential but also about fostering a community where women support, uplift, and empower each other in their respective journeys.
Through my words as an author, my guidance as a realtor, and my faith as a Christian, I strive to illuminate the pathway toward embracing one’s God-given talents, seizing new opportunities, and living a life empowered by the love of Christ.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As a Christian, author, and realtor, my journey has been an amalgamation of faith, storytelling, and a passion for helping people navigate life’s transitions. I discovered my inclination towards writing during my formative years, where I found solace in expressing thoughts, weaving narratives, and conveying messages that resonate with the human experience.
After several successful literary ventures, I delved into the world of real estate, recognizing the profound impact of home and space on individuals’ lives. I perceived an opportunity to merge my love for storytelling with the tangible aspects of helping people find their ideal homes and spaces, making transitions smoother and more meaningful.
In the realm of literature, my creative works primarily revolve around Christian-themed fiction and non-fiction. Through my writings, I aim to inspire, uplift, and encourage readers through stories that resonate with faith, hope, and the triumph of the human spirit.
In my real estate endeavors, I offer services that go beyond mere property transactions. I prioritize understanding the unique needs and aspirations of my clients, guiding them not just to a house but to a place they can truly call home. I strive to make the process of buying, selling, or transitioning spaces a journey that is as emotionally fulfilling as it is practical.
My work as a Christian, author, and realtor addresses the transitions and pivotal moments in people’s lives. Whether it’s a family seeking their first home, individuals in a new phase of life, or someone seeking solace and inspiration through faith-based literature, I aim to provide guidance, support, and a sense of comfort.
What sets me apart is the fusion of these three aspects of my life—faith, storytelling, and the real estate industry. I bring a unique perspective to the real estate field, emphasizing the emotional and personal significance of a home, which goes beyond its structural aspects. This holistic approach aims to cater not just to the physical needs of my clients but also to their emotional and spiritual well-being.
I am most proud of the ability to touch lives through different mediums. Whether it’s through a story that resonates deeply with a reader, helping a family find their perfect home, or offering a guiding hand in a significant life transition, I find immense pride in being a part of these transformative moments.
Ultimately, I want potential clients, followers, and readers to know that my brand is about more than just buying or selling property or writing books. It’s about fostering connections, nurturing faith, and guiding individuals through transitions, all while creating a space for inspiration, comfort, and the realization of dreams. My work is a testament to the belief that every story, every home, and every individual’s journey is worth the care, attention, and respect it deserves.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
In shaping my management and entrepreneurial philosophy, I’ve drawn inspiration from a variety of resources, each contributing to my perspective and approach in both business and life. Apart from the Bible, which is an anchor for my values and principles, there are several other impactful resources that have influenced my thinking:
Books:
1. “Good to Great” by Jim Collins: This book delves into what makes companies transition from good to great and explores essential concepts for sustainable success in business.
2. “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek: Sinek’s book emphasizes the importance of identifying the “why” behind one’s actions, serving as a guiding principle in business strategies.
3. “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey: This book outlines timeless principles for personal and professional effectiveness, advocating for a holistic approach to success.
4. “Leaders Eat Last” by Simon Sinek: Sinek’s work explores the concept of selfless leadership and creating environments where people feel valued and supported.
My regular reading and study of the Bible also significantly impact my management and entrepreneurial philosophy. The principles of leadership, compassion, integrity, and the emphasis on service and humility in the Bible guide my approach to business and management, shaping my decisions and interactions with colleagues, clients, and the community.
The integration of biblical teachings with the knowledge gained from these diverse resources has been instrumental in shaping my management and entrepreneurial thinking, fostering a balanced, values-driven approach in both my personal and professional endeavors.
