We were lucky to catch up with Sheila Shokraee recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sheila, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has Covid resulted in any major changes to your business model?
I have started my business at the most uncertain time during pandemic. The desire to try and thrive in building a business which I was passionate about, made me go for it.
Ironically, the norms and necessities of COVID created a road map for me to shape the features of my product offerings.
From creating charcuterie boxes for outdoor gatherings to individualized breakfast packages for Weekends, I was able to bring a sense of joy and normalcy to my clients by helping them build enjoyable events amongst all uncertainty that persisted at that time.
Sheila, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Sheila’s table was founded in 2020. We provide delectable charcuterie platters, grazing tables and more.
From birthdays to school and corporate events, Sheila’s table is proud to serve south Orange County. Our premium product is fresh and customized for every occasion and season, and catered to every clients need.
The uniqueness, colorfulness, freshness and delicacy of our product at times amazes our customers and we are proud of so many positive feedbacks we receive continuously from all of our clients
How did you build your audience on social media?
At first, it was the help of my talented teenagers who built the foundation of my website, the marketing materials and structure for e commerce. They also helped building social media platforms such as Facebook, Insta and TikTok
We continued demonstrating the product by posting pictures and sharing customer experiences and lead to creation of solid and reliable customer base.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Perhaps I can name the three factors that made me successful in creating a large customer base in a relatively short period of time :
First, my grass root campaign and community support: I have lived in San Clemente for more than 20 years where I had the opportunity of finding many of my dear friends, they know me well, know my passion and creativity and I am grateful for their support.
Secondly, it’s the personal interaction . I enjoy meeting my customers and I build relationships with them. Many of them become my friends as we have lots in common. To me, this is just more than a business , it’s the joy of doing what I am passionate about and the personal satisfaction of seeing many people have memorable experiences where I see my self being a part of that
Last one is the uniqueness of the product offering. Our product is a work of art, the color arrangement, seasonal selection of ingredients, matching of the tastes and customizing it to the need of every individual customer make Sheila’s table product unique.
