We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shea Stanley. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shea below.
Alright, Shea thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
After my children transitioned into young adulthood and embarked on their own journeys, I found myself with newfound time and energy to dedicate to a cause close to my heart: empowering the next generation because it truly takes a village to raise children. Observing the financial literacy and generational wealth gaps that persist in the U.S., particularly within the African American community, I felt a calling to leverage my experience in the financial services industry to make a difference.
I’ve seen firsthand the struggles many families face in navigating financial systems, and I knew that sharing my knowledge could help bridge that gap. With a special place in my heart for youth, I committed myself to teaching them about financial literacy and social responsibility. I believe that young people are our future leaders, and it’s imperative that we equip them with the tools they need to thrive.
Through engaging programs centered around sports, with retired professional football players, we foster an empowering environment where children can learn invaluable life lessons. Sports are more than just games; they teach discipline, teamwork, character building, and resilience. These lessons seamlessly translate into financial education, where I guide them in managing their money, understanding budgeting, saving, investing, and how to use those monies to become entrepreneurs and future moguls!
By nurturing their skills and instilling confidence, I help youth embrace their unique identities and recognize their potential. It is my mission to provide them with the education, resources, and emotional support necessary to overcome obstacles and build a prosperous future. Together, we are not just preparing them for financial stability; we are shaping responsible, informed leaders who will inspire future generations.

Shea , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a paralegal with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. My journey began with a strong interest in law and compliance, leading me to specialize in areas that intersect financial services, entrepreneurship and paralegal studies. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on various community engagement initiatives, compliance issues, and regulatory matters, which has given me a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in these areas..
In addition to my professional background, I’ve started and managed two family businesses with my sons. This experience has allowed me to witness firsthand how entrepreneurship can develop skills and resilience, preparing them for a future of leadership and innovation.
I provide a range of services, financial literacy programs, paralegal services, and compliance guidance. My goal is to help clients become more financially literate and positioned for successful careers and business opportunities.
What sets me apart is my unique blend of legal expertise and practical financial knowledge.
I’m particularly proud of my ability to mentor young professionals in the field, sharing insights and fostering their growth. I believe in the power of education, especially in financial literacy and higher educational attainment, to empower individuals and communities.
I want readers to know that my work is rooted in a genuine passion for helping others succeed. Whether through mentorship or community outreach, I aim to make a meaningful impact and leave a legacy that will inspire others and make the ancestors proud.

How’d you meet your business partner?
I met our co-founder and my business partner, Santia Deck, also known as Track Baby, at a networking event. Santia is an history making professional football player. Our conversation flowed effortlessly, and the energy was great. We quickly connected over lunch, discussing our shared desire to establish a nonprofit that would leverage our diverse strengths to empower youth and foster success.

Any advice for managing a team?
I have managed teams for over 15 years and take great pride in being a servant leader. My approach emphasizes empathy, open communication, and collaboration, which I believe are essential for maintaining high morale and a productive work environment.
One key piece of advice I have for managing a team is to prioritize active listening. When team members feel heard and valued, it fosters a sense of belonging and encourages them to contribute their best ideas and efforts. Regular check-ins, both formal and informal, can create a space for open dialogue and allow me to address any concerns proactively.
Additionally, I believe in empowering my team by recognizing individual strengths and providing opportunities for growth. This includes offering professional development resources, encouraging skill-building, and celebrating achievements—no matter how small. Acknowledgment and appreciation can significantly boost morale and motivate team members to strive for excellence.
Creating a positive team culture is also vital. I encourage collaboration and team-building activities that strengthen relationships and promote a sense of camaraderie. When team members support one another, it not only improves engagement, enhances morale but also drives collective success.
Ultimately, my goal as a servant leader is to cultivate an environment where everyone feels supported, valued, and motivated to excel. By fostering strong relationships and prioritizing the well-being of my team, I’ve seen firsthand how high morale leads to increased productivity and success.
