We recently connected with Shea Chumbley and have shared our conversation below.
Shea, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I believe success often involves a combination of hard work, perseverance, and adaptability. Overcoming challenges and staying dedicated, even when you don’t feel like it, play a crucial role in the journey toward success.
As a single mother, relocating to a new city with my children was a move that made me proud of myself, but also anxious and unsure at the same time. Transitioning into education provided stability, but the lack of flexibility led me to explore new avenues. I was determined to balance my work and family lives, so I took a leap into entrepreneurship, establishing myself as a virtual assistant. This path offered both professional fulfillment and the flexibility needed for my family.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi! I am Shea, virtual assistant of Shea’s Virtual Solutions! I have a passion for helping others through organization and task management. I bring nearly two decades of experience in executing tasks seamlessly while maintaining exceptional organizational skills.
I specialize in email management, calendar management, and all administrative tasks. I also do social media management, where I schedule and post content and engage with target audiences for my clients. I work with small business owners to provide back-end support so that they can focus on the core competencies of their business. I take pride in handling tedious tasks for my clients so that they never miss an opportunity to grow their business.
As a virtual assistant, I want potential clients to know that I am highly efficient, organized, and most of all, reliable. I can seamlessly manage tasks, meet deadlines, and provide excellent support remotely.
Have you ever had to pivot?
Facing the challenges of a rigid educational role, I found myself yearning for flexibility to balance work and family. Recognizing the need for a change, I pivoted from education to become a virtual assistant. This shift not only empowered me with more control over my schedule but also opened doors to a fulfilling career where my organizational skills shine in a virtual setting.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Utilizing the power of visual content on platforms like Instagram and Facebook has been instrumental in expanding my client base. By creating engaging and informative snippets and speaking to pain points of small business owners, I am able to tap into a broader audience. The dynamic nature of these platforms allows me to connect with potential clients authentically, providing a glimpse into how my skills can benefit them, ultimately driving client acquisition and business growth.
