Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shayna Vincent. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Shayna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I want my legacy to be the reminder of beautiful moments that last forever. I want people to not only have photographs of the best days of their lives, but to hold a physical memory of their loved ones that can be shared for generations. The pictures we have of our friends and family are forever and should be cherished. I’m here to give people that gift.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started out as a landscape photographer back in 2015. The ability to capture a perfect point in time was the one thing that made me happy day after day. As my talent grew, so did my ambitions for creating better photos. A close friend of mine suggested I get into family photography and after the first session, I was absolutely in love. When my first client received her gallery of her family photos, she began to shed tears of joy. Being able to give a mom beautiful portraits of her children and her family is a wonderful feeling, and one that cannot be topped in my book. When my seniors get their photos back and scream with excitement, or my brides cry at how stunning the photos of their most important day was,- that is why I do what I do. Making people fall in love with these photographs is why I wake up every day.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The strategy of growing my clientele comes from my motto “Be a good human”. When I’m working with clients, I’m not only a photographer, but a person too. I’ve made a lot of friends from my clients and I appreciate that beyond words. I always give more than is expected and have been completely understanding. When my clients work with me, they know it’s not just a business transaction. They always leave my sessions happy, and that happiness is spread through word of mouth.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think my reputation was built by my passion to not only give beautiful photos but to be a kind person and friend to my clients as well.
