Shayna, appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

Ever since I can remember my parents always taught me to be kind, work hard, and keep my standards high. This carried me throughout my school years into my career. They pushed me to give everything 100% no matter what it was & to never give up. If I didn’t like what I was doing I had to finish it through & know to go in a different direction when I was finished. Whether it was in sports, or starting my own business they have always supported and pushed me to be the best version of myself. I think that them instilling these main characteristics into me has helped me be successful in my business & personal life. I pride myself, and my business, on being kind, working hard & keeping my business expectations and standards high & I have to credit a lot of that to my parents. I remember telling them I wanted to venture out and start my own business & they both told me that they were positive I could be successful & achieve what I was wanting to do. They held my hand, and continue to do so, through the blood, sweat & tears. Still to this day both of my parents are always the first to tell people about my business and what I do. I don’t know where I would be without them!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I have been in the aesthetic industry since 2017. I started my career in medical aesthetics but ultimately moved into my own space. I am passionate about making anyone that steps foot in my room more confident when they leave than when they came in.. I specialize in skin & brows, focusing on result driven treatments. I pride myself in building a solid relationship with every client & making sure they know that I am here to help them feel more confident in their skin. I absolutely love what I do, & going to work is just like hanging out with friends all day!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I decided to start my business in the midst of the pandemic. Crazy idea? Yes, 100%! Would I change it? No. Starting my business in the craziness of 2020 made me want to work harder than ever. At first, my business blew up because brows were the focus point on everyone. Then because of the masks, my clients were desperate for some relief for their skin. During the pandemic years my clients were there for me, and I was there for them. There were times that I wasn’t sure I made the right decision but I’m so glad I pushed through to see it through. If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I think that me being upfront & honest with my clients has built that trust with my clients. When clients trust you, your name will spread like wildfire. I always tell my clients, new or returning, that I am here to help them. I think by doing that, having them trust me, and having them know I care about them, has built up my reputation.
