We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shayna Rattler. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shayna below.

Shayna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

I am in the faith based space but I know main stream America needs the principles I teach. I speak and write quite a bit and most of the time the organizations I speak and write for want me to “universalize” my message or make it about purpose instead of the destiny God has ordained for each of us.

I was given the opportunity to submit an article for a well-known publication and per usual their request was for me to remove any trace of God from the article. I told my point of contact her request was in complete contradiction to the assignment on my life and I asked her to submit my article to the editor in my original words.

As you can see this was a risk on my end, and hers.

Fast forward to the end and the editor surprisingly agreed to run the article the way I submitted it and the response they received from their audience was overwhelmingly positive (and my point of contact did not lose her job lol)

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I have a background in healthcare, but after graduating college quickly became an entrepreneur and business strategist to business owners and corporations. In 2018 I accepted my calling to help individuals with their spiritual strategies—the ones that will help them create the life they desire and God intends.

I have a podcast, television show, books and social media content that helps believers successfully navigate difficult seasons of life.

If you follow me know that I care little about you being motivated or inspired, but more about showing you how to implement so you can be transformed!! There is zero fluff in my camp.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to unlearn having it all figured out. I have a track record of deciding what I want to accomplish, creating a plan to accomplish it and then making it happen. Well what happens when that no longer works. There comes a point in most professional’s lives where we are being asked to lead somewhere differently or to become a higher version of ourselves. You know this is the case if the thing you once loved is now feeling like a chore!

When you find yourself on this journey I can assure you that what got you here will NOT get you there! it is critical to surrender having it all figured out and just move where and in the way you are feeling led. Once you take that first step, the next steps are revealed to you.
