We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Shayla Pellerin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Shayla thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Any thoughts about whether to ask friends and family to support your business. What’s okay in your view?
Z and Z 360 was the brainchild of Founder, Shayla Pellerin, a former educator, turned entrepreneur of three other successful businesses based out of Houston, Texas. Shayla, together with her husband, Phillip Pellerin, started Z and Z 360 as a creative outlet that helps people and businesses capture those special and memorable moments in a new, trendy, and exciting way. The family and friend support has been a big part of our success. All we had to do was bring up our business idea and everyone has been very encouraging and has shared all over their social medias.
Shayla, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Z and Z 360 photobook elevates any occasion, with our world-class customer service provided by our husband and wife duo. Z and Z 360 ensures that customers receive a VIP luxury experience while creating phenomenal content that can instantly be shared via social media. Booking our service leaves customers highly satisfied while becoming the “star of their own show”. Our 360 machine allows clients to preserve special moments of their event with our state-of-the-art technology. We offer custom filters with the option of selecting of the perfect song for the occasion.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
I met my cofounder/business partner/husband on the campus of Florida A&M University in the summer of 2008. He was my upstairs neighbor. One day, he comes upstairs and asks me for some sugar. I didn’t have any sugar to give that day, but I think he found something else sweet that he needed in his life. We have been joined at the hip ever since.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Our mission is to be known as “The #1 Photobooth in the City of Houston” and spread fun and joy with each event. We are a family run business and our goal is to build an empire of generational wealth for our daughters and their future family. They are watching all of the long nights working in the kitchen preparing for events, the countless hours creating content and marketing, and trips all around the city. The ‘Z’s’ in our company name represent our daughters and ensures that all of our hardwork is for them; failure is not an option.
