We were lucky to catch up with Shawntravion Moore recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Shawntravion thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you in your creative career?
THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON I LEARNED WORKING AT A JOB IS FOLLOW YOUR OWN DREAMS. WHILE YOU’R GOING TO WORK MAKE SURE WHEN YOUR OFF WORK ON YOUR CRAFT AND FOCUS ON YOUR GOALS. NEVER GIVE ALL YOUR TIME OR OVER WORK YOURSELF. IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO YOU THEY ARE JUST GOING TO REPLACE YOU AND SEND YOUR FAMILY A POST CARD AND FLOWERS. I USE TO OVERWORK MYSELF AN COME IN ON OFF DAYS BUT I NEVER GOT ANY RECOGNITION OR A BONUS OR ANYTHING. NEVER GIVE UP AND FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m 24 years old I’ve been working on cars, riding motorcycles, and drawing making clothing since I was a youngin. I just decided one day to pick up the camera and just show my journey thru my life. And also to be able to look back at old videos to see my transformation and progress. My dad is the reason I’m into motorcycles and cars I’ve been around them before I could even walk. Once I was able to get my own money i started buying my own toys. The best thing about getting your own is knowing that I never got a hand out an I worked hard for everything i own. My brand 1340boi is what I created which comes from my first bike which was an Hyabusa probably the best racing bike around besides my gsxr-1000r. What sets me apart from anyone is that I’m real I’m not trying to fake anything I’m posting raw content and getting straight to the point. Also if I post racing content win loose or draw I’m posting everything. Whoever is reading this 1340boi is going to be the biggest name trust me.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
society just needs to support us we all are trying to survive just like them. Support is free people never want to support one another but always want something free or a discount. Also society needs to stop trying to be in competition with everyone. Everyone supports the other races but don’t support there own race or community.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The best things is that actually seeing the community wearing your merchandise and watching your videos. Also the comments and the interaction I get on my post and videos.
