Over the years, our team has had the privilege of helping countless businesses elevate their brand visibility through social media. It all began with us personally promoting these businesses, driving real results and engagement. As word spread, business owners began asking how we were achieving such success. In response, we started teaching companies how to effectively manage their social media strategies—showing them how to engage their audiences, build loyal followings, and create content that resonates.
Today, we’ve taken things further by managing social media entirely for many businesses, giving them the freedom to focus on what they do best while we handle everything from content creation to audience engagement. Throughout this journey, we’ve also had the honor of delivering keynote speeches on social media engagement, sharing our insights, strategies, and the importance of building authentic online connections.
Our primary focus is always on engagement—not just beautiful posts. We aim to spark comments, shares, and real involvement in our clients’ online communities. After all, social media is meant to be “social,” and building that sense of community is what truly matters.

I am Shawn Dodd, a former Army Ranger turned Executive Business Consultant, who ventured into the world of social media with a mission to teach my children how to use these platforms responsibly. My journey into social media marketing began organically. As I explored the platforms to guide my children, I discovered the immense potential they held for brand building and community engagement. Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In my career, I served as an executive business consultant for major billion-dollar companies, where I provided strategic guidance and solutions to enhance their operations and growth. This role was both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to work with some of the most influential businesses in the industry.
However, my life took an unexpected turn when I contracted COVID-19, which led to a severe case of viral pneumonia. This life-threatening experience was a pivotal moment for me. It forced me to reevaluate my priorities and the direction of my career. During my recovery, I realized the importance of being present for my family and the need to pursue a path that aligned with my personal values and aspirations.
This realization led me to pivot from my corporate consulting role to focus on building AIA Social Media. I wanted to create something meaningful not only for myself but also for my clients, offering them the personalized attention and innovative strategies they deserved. This shift allowed me to leverage my expertise in a way that was more fulfilling and aligned with my vision of making a positive impact.
Through AIA Social Media, I have been able to support brands and individuals in harnessing the power of social media to achieve their goals. This journey has been incredibly rewarding, as it combines my professional skills with my passion for helping others succeed. It also allows me to be the dedicated father I aspire to be, balancing my professional ambitions with my commitment to my family.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience on social media was a journey rooted in authenticity and engagement. I focused on creating engaging and unique content that resonated with my target audience. By understanding what my followers were interested in, I was able to tailor my content to meet their needs and preferences, which helped in capturing their attention and fostering loyalty.
One of the key strategies I employed was using the comments section as a social session. I actively engaged with my audience by responding to comments, asking questions, and encouraging discussions. This approach not only made my followers feel valued and heard but also helped in building a sense of community around my brand.
Live video streams played a crucial role in capturing audience loyalty. Going live allowed me to connect with my followers in real-time, providing a platform for authentic interaction and engagement.
