We caught up with the brilliant and insightful SHAWANA Boyer a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, SHAWANA thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Innovation comes in all shapes, sizes and across all industries, so we’d love to hear about something you’ve done that you feel was particularly innovative.

The most innovative thing I have done in my career was to create a Fashion Truck (Mobile Boutique) and designed my own label of Totes and Jogger Collection.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Bio: Shawana “SynSha” Boyer is a Realtor with Dream Big Realty of Jax, a mother, a wife, the owner, and creator of SynSha’ Fashions & was one of the first to create a mobile boutique in Jacksonville Fl. She is also the Founder of Black Owned Businesses Jacksonville (BOBSJAX) FB group that has over 11K partners. Shawana prides herself in helping others to reach their full potential, bringing the latest fashions and trends & assisting aspiring boutique owners to “Build Your Own Boutique”. This is part of her BYOB Coaching Program Services.
She is a partner with LIT TV Network which was founded by The Culture, For the Culture via Roku, Firestick & Android TV outlets.

One of my proudest moments was when I faced my fear of going back to take my real estate state exam after 10 years. I made attempts to pass it back in 2012, but to no avail, I didn’t. In 2022, I had to refocus and rechannel my thinking to accomplish my goal of passing the state exam. I PASSED IT!

Biggest Accomplishments:
Shawana Boyer is the Published Author of “Who is She” The Unseen Sides of Every Woman, she is one of the Top 20 Under 40 Recipients in Jacksonville, FL with Black Pages South in 2016, she is Mrs. Corporate America Pageant regional title holder Mrs. Jacksonville 2019-2020. She is the 2019 winner of the Civil Scarlet and Media Awards for the MCA pageant. She holds the title of Ms. World International Premier 2019-2020, and Mrs. Florida World International 2019-2020 and will be in TV production on a show titled “Fashion and Real Estate”. She has a host of other accomplishments she achieved throughout her personal and professional career. Her platform is the Young Models of America Association where she utilizes her fashion and business skills to instill leadership qualities in young ladies.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

Back in 2021, I noticed my fashion business was going through a dry season. So I decided to do research to see what else I could do to add to my brand that was different. I started working on creating my own tote bag line. During the time of me branding and marketing my brand, I felt like something still wasn’t right. In the last quarter of 2021, after watching “Selling Tampa” I decided to pivot and focus more on Real Estate. In 2022 I passed the exam, so from this point, I knew I had to pivot to another career path. “From Fashion Mogul to Real Estate Professional”.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
