We recently connected with Shaunna Spivey-Spinner and have shared our conversation below.
Shaunna, appreciate you joining us today. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
Earning a full-time wage through being a creative , model, author , personal trainer and many other entrepreneurial ways has been challenging . You have to bet on yourself and take a chance. I started to research services that people actually support and learned how to monetize those talents . Some days are better than others but the hustle and motivation has to remain. Not all business is good business but remaining positive , promoting yourself and believing in the services you provide is key to success.
I used to throw parties Thursday through Sunday and after awhile being intoxicated and around the same people every weekend became draining, I wanted more . I started modeling and reaching out to different photographers. I put myself out there willing to learn and just swap services for shoots and such. I always had a huge following so allowing photographers to see that gave me a gateway to shoot for free. It’s all about networking .

Shaunna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Shaunna Spivey-Spinner better know as Holliwood or The Real Holliwood, I’m from Syracuse NY. I have self published 5 self-help books. I am a personal trainer either online or in person, I set you up with the workout, the nutrition and the cardio all you have to do is show up. I’m a motivational speaker in which I’ve spoke in many capacities about depression, motherhood as a masculine woman, anxiety, losing a parent, toxic relationships and life . I’m also an androgynous model meaning I capture both masculine and feminine characteristics in my shoots. I love modeling it allows me to become someone else .
I also repair credit , any kind , anyway and I can help you get that car, loan, house or credit card.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Honestly , the most rewarding aspect for me being a creative would be the outreach. I love knowing I’m able to give people motivation, hope and inspiration. There’s nothing like someone messaging you or meeting you and explaining to you how your words and life journey has helped or saved them.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My son has definitely been the driving force in my creative journey. I’m still carefree and speak and act how I want to but now it’s with such regard to the internet. I want him to grow up knowing his mom was a force and he will shadow those steps I’m forming for him.
