Shauna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Here at Kadan Swimwear we are dedicated to producing gorgeous, unique bikinis designed to make the wearer feel beautiful and confident because we believe that’s what every babe deserves! Each piece is carefully handcrafted to ensure the quality and excellence we strive for and helps us to achieve one aspect of our goal: to make the work a more beautiful place.
Our mission to make the world more beautiful revolves not just around our bikinis, but also our business practices. Another part of our mission is to ensure we provide a sustainable, eco-friendly brand all while also boosting the American economy. All of our pieces are handmade right here in the USA #forgirlsbygirls! All of our materials are sourced from USA based companies that provide ethical and environmentally friendly products. We make sure the materials we use have been ethically sourced, have been produced from recycled materials, use minimal water/energy practices for dyeing, etc…. We also limit the number of pieces we produce with each release to not only avoid waste and over production, but to also ensure our bikinis are truly unique!
Based in the Florida Keys, we at Kadan truly understand the fragility of the ecosystem and the need to preserve and protect our environment. The rise in ocean temperatures is having a significant and detrimental impact on the coral reef system we depend on, and we have reached a critical point in its ability to survive. We are so lucky here in the Keys to be able to take advantage of the beautiful waters around us. The reef system is crucial for sustaining the economy here which relies so heavily on tourism. Whether we go snorkeling or diving, fishing, boating, or just sit our butts on the beach, we are very grateful for the environment we live in and want to do our part to keep it alive! So, we have adopted business practice to minimize our carbon footprint and work to have a positive impact on the environment. We take pride in knowing that we have a part in protecting this amazing world and hope to continue to share our love of all things beautiful with you!

Some of the best days in life are spent lounging on the beach spending time with those who mean the most, and Kadan represents those feeling of peace, tranquility, and happiness. We have been fortunate enough to be able to carve out our own little paradise here in South Florida and want to share that with all of you. Kadan means where the heart lies, and that is something that you will find with each piece in our collection.
Our swimwear, designed and manufactured right here in South Florida, is carefully created to demonstrate the high-end, luxurious quality you have come to know and expect from our brand. Each unique piece reflects the tropical, carefree lifestyle of the Florida Keys, and is designed to make the babe wearing it feel beautiful and confident!
New to the swimwear world, Kadan Swimwear became a part of my life just before my daughter’s 1st birthday. The love and excitement I feel each day watching my daughter grow, as well as the beauty we find all around us, is the inspiration I use to create the Kadan line. We are a female-owned, luxury swimwear brand made right here in the USA, for girls by girls. We focus on providing ethical and eco-friendly products from start to finish. Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Honestly, having a 2-year-old and trying to stay in touch with the brand’s audience has been quite the adventure. I have found, though, that the best way to stay in touch is to make little posts reporting on real life updates. Sharing a video of my most recent trip to our manufacturer to report on a production process, behind the scenes reel of a new photoshoot, or sharing little snippets of daily life are all ways that have helped to foster brand loyalty. So, when I can finally pry my phone out of my toddler’s hands, I’ll make a quick IG post or write up something in our blog to keep the audience engaged.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Gaining new clients and growing the brand’s audience is definitely a whole other set of challenges. People don’t just want a quality, sustainable brand; they want a brand that’s also going to work for them. They are more willing to put their loyalty into something that is also loyal to them, that engages with them, and makes them feel like they are a part of it. I have found success with creating an ambassador program that offers loyalty rewards to those that sign up and help spread the word of Kadan Swimwear with their own friends and family.
