Alright, Shatora thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

Hi! I’m Shatora Everage.

I personally think that being a risk taker is a huge part of one’s success story. I remember the time (5 years ago) when I decided to take a risk starting my own business. This was something new to me, I had become comfortable with working my corporate job and that’s all I knew at the time. I knew beforehand that my time was coming to an end, but I was afraid and didn’t know what the outcome would be like. The thoughts I would have in my head were at the time, “ Are you sure you want to do this”? “How are you going to keep things going if you do this”? Until one day it happened for me and I had no other choice. I was laid off from my dream job due to the position ending. This was my job for 9 1/2 years.

I’m really glad in all honesty that it happened. It was life changing, but it gave me the freedom I was looking for to launch into the deep and discover my purpose for my own business. I went through so many things that molded me into the business woman I am today. I can say with confidence that it’s not an easy task, but it’s rewarding and a blessing being an entrepreneur. I persevered each day and gave it my all even in the hard times.

Fast forward to today, I’m the CEO of Luxe Life Consulting, LLC a investment management company that helps families build legacies that last a lifetime. Our company provides services to individuals, families, and business owners helping them set up life & health insurance policies that builds equity and cash value for generations to come. I believe my job is a very important role and I enjoy doing it. I love being able to assist people that I cross paths with. It’s a tremendous blessing and I do it gracefully knowing I’m operating in my God given purpose.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I believe being able to build trust with my clients is the first important reputation I built. My clients know that they are in good hands with me, I make it a priority to pinpoint the main focus for them when it comes to starting their business or building their investment portfolio. I’m here to help them all the way.

Also, providing them with educational resources and tools that gets down to the core niche on what they are trying to accomplish.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

I love being able to add onto the skillsets I already have. It’s just something about reading and professional development that’s dear to my heart. I learned to always read and do your research because the more you read something overtime you get a different understanding or point of view out of it.
