We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shaterrica Solton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shaterrica below.
Shaterrica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?
I know it takes hard work, perseverance, and a lot of prayer to be successful. I moved back to Atlanta a few years ago and I said I wanted to host a pop-up shop. I met a friend, Sydney, and she’s an entrepreneur as well we talked and put our heads together and God allowed us to have our first successful pop-up shop.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a mother, a Certified Pharmacy Technician, and an entrepreneur and I am working on my bachelor’s in Psychology. I started this journey when I started looking for natural ways to treat my then 6-month-old eczema. I created these balms and oils and they worked well but what motivated me was when I accidentally created a hair growth serum. After people started to see my sister’s hair growth progress that did it. That product turned into my baby lol. I am rebranding and right now will be offering a hair growth serum and a beard growth serum. Though the market is saturated with similar products, I know mine stands out because I use my own products and I care about the ingredients I use. I am very proud of the fact that this happened by accident and no matter how many times I say I’m not doing it anymore I have people requesting my product even if it’s not in a cute package they still want it!

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy I use to grow my clientele is running ads on social media. I promote on social media to my friends and family, but I benefit more when I run ads, which is how I gain more clients, customers, and inquiries. I recommend adding paid marketing to your business budget.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
I manufacture all products by hand. I researched and continue researching natural herbs and oils that help stimulate hair growth. I found some great vendors where I could buy products in bulk; I compared every vendor I saw and the ingredients used. Manufacturing a product by hand is like any other manual job; I try to use products that will help me produce efficiently. This is where a lot of my hard work and perseverance goes into the production of the product.
