We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sharrel Abel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sharrel below.
Hi Sharrel, thanks for joining us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
My hero is my Aunt Holly, I have always looked up to my Aunt Holly and have always thought if I could be just a one-third of what my aunt is I would be happy with my life and know my life would be something to be remembered by. See my aunt was known for lighting up the room with her smile, her personality, her passion. Holly always knew how to achieve anything, when she wanted something, she would move the world to get to where she said she would. My Aunt always told me I could do anything I wanted if I was willing to put in the work that needed to be done. To learn everything, I could about what it and continue to learn. She always told me the sky is the limit if you have the drive and passion.
She was also a photographer, so I want to believe she is helping me full fill my goals and feeding my passion of photography. Because of her I can see the beauty from behind the lens.

Sharrel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have always enjoyed photography, the joy it brings to everyone around me is always a great feeling. I dabbled as a photographer now for a while until I truly found what I was enthusiastic for and that is helping others see the beauty I see with my own eyes. I became a photographer, when I tried my hand at modeling, I was singled out by the photographers, I didn’t like how that felt, noticed that each shoot I did it was the same thing over and over, I started noticing it wasn’t just me it was also happening to others. I realized how photographers would pick their favorites in each shoot and if you were a favorite, you did not get as much time in front of the camera. So, I started my own photography business and I told myself I would never pick a favorite because everyone is so beautiful in their own way.
They say a picture cannot speak one thousand words I never believed it until I started focusing on my photography and seeing my models through both my eyes and in film. In one simple picture you can catch how they feel, their emotions, you can see how much they build on their self confidence in each picture, it is utterly amazing!!
My mission with visionary Photo shoots is to help show, with each picture that no matter how others see you, if you love yourself nothing else matters. Visionary photoshoots help build your self-esteem, confidence, and helps you love yourself and it is you model that have inspired me to become a photographer I am today.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I would have to say my most effective strategy for growing my clientele is word of mouth. Word of mouth is the best advertising you could do. It can go one or two ways; it can be passing on their amazing experience or they can tell you their terrible experience. A lot of people do not like to hear negative experience, but I do. The negative tells you where you need what you need to work on to become better.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I like to believe what as helped me build my reputation, is never stop learning, listen, and make them feel safe. Also helping them all believe they are all beautiful and to be comfortable in their own skin.
