Sharree, appreciate you joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I started my business during the pandemic while we were all at home. I had just taken my state board exam and was very eager to start working in my field which did not happen right away. Fast forward a few weeks and the stress from the pandemic caused my skin to go crazy. I tried everything and even purchased from other small businesses with the hopes that something would work. I later found out that I was experiencing a perioral dermatitis break out. After a lot of research and trial and error I developed my first product the Everything Oil .

Hello, I’m Sharree Chambers and I am a licensed esthetician. I have always had a passion for natural skincare and always wanted to have my own business one day. At Luxey butter skin bar we create skin and body products for all skin types. I really like using ingredients that will not irritate sensitive skin like mine. I am the most proud of my first product The Everything Oil because it started this whole journey and saw me through a dark time in my life. I hope to reach more people who are looking for natural skin and body care.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
I spent a lot of time on YouTube when planning to start my business. There’re alot of wonderful resources and tide bits along of creators offer . I also purchased a multitude of books about formulation and natural ingredients . Throughout your journey its important to stay educated and inspired so I highly recommend finding some people you can watch on YouTube that has already been on the journey you are about to embark on .
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
Wedo retailour products online through Shopify and Etsy. I graetly enjoy using both platforms as I find them to be easy to use for both I and the customer.I am an Etsy shopper myself so I love that I can list my business on a platform I use so often. Shopify was new to me but I love the site design features they provide as well as their easy to use check out process.
