We were lucky to catch up with Sharon Scott recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharon, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?
Being apart of the Scentsy family that has been out for years, I come across people who are looking for items that are no longer available. I had a customer who was looking for Jack Skeleton Large warmer (which was no longer available) for her mother’s birthday. I reached out to other consultants on my team but I had no luck. I found a Facebook group of other consultants worldwide so I reached out to them to assist me. God sent me a consultant in Florida who had the warmer and she first class mail it to me just in time for my customer mother’s birthday. She was so excited and pleased with me, she is now one of my biggest supporters.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hello World, my name is Sharon Scott. I am a navy wife and hopefully a mother soon🤞🏾! I love meeting new people, networking, and exploring new opportunities. I join the Scentsy family to explore my full potential as a business woman. I have be giving the past 16 years of customer services experience in my every work life and I always give 1000%. Why not apply that same energy into my business with Scentsy… and become my own boss.
Scentsy is wick-less candles and scented fragrance wax for electric candle warmers and scented natural oils and diffusers. I have used it in the past but never thought about selling it. Then I remembered quarantine and I need a second income just in case. April 2022, I started to sale Scentsy with the help of my good friend. What sets me apart from other consultants is I do pop up events weekly. I realized that online sales are very hard to come by if you don’t know your customers so I started to do pop-ups at market nights and mornings. Since April, I have done over 100 pop-up events. I love how I get to meet new people and share Scentsy with others.
I proud myself on giving my customers whatever they are looking for. I will reach out, hint down, and find anything and everything they want and need. I just want my customers to be happy with the Scentsy products!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
It has not been a smooth road. Scentsy is mainly online and there are consultants everywhere. I knew for my business to take off, I need to get my face out in the world. I start my social media but still, I didn’t stand out. That’s why I started to attend farmer’s markets and market nights! My reputation was built by my appearance in market events at local malls, city hosted events, car show, and many more.

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
Since I do markets ever weekend, I have the pleasure of meeting new and exciting people! I met a guy who was leaving the Scentsy family and he wanted to sell me his inventory with customer list. He told me that he only have things he was unable to sale but doesn’t want it in his house. I told him to send me the invoice. When I saw the invoice, I noticed it was all licensed items( which are Disney products) and warmers that was discounted more than 75% off. I brought everything and spend over $400. I soon after booked an event call “ Toon Town” which only allowed Disney products to be sold. I sold ever item for full price at that event which tripled my original investment.
