We were lucky to catch up with Sharon Sabga recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Sharon thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
After closing my first business of 11 years from burn out, I didn’t know what was next. I took a lovely in-between job for a few months. Although lovely, it didn’t sing to my soul like I desired.
I’d always been one to choose opportunities where I’d make the biggest positive impact for the greater good. This position was quite the contrast. That contrast turned out to be a gift. In those unsatisfactory unfulfilled purpose-seeking days, my lifeline was my love and commitment to my growth & development through spiritual practices. I was a newlywed with a mother just diagnosed with breast cancer. Those days, my meditations were no small feat. I had so much resistance. it was really challenging to sit and take a moment. I sat through anyway and allowed a little more of myself a little more of the space day after day for the answers to emerge. I asked myself some of the hardest existential questions. Some a bit dramatic LOL on this particular day, (I remember it like it was yesterday), I asked “What would I regret not doing if I died tomorrow?”. In what I would call a divine moment, heard it!I It was loud; it was clear and it was my truth. There was not a single doubt.
That contrast steered me toward answering the loudest call that would require radical risk taking.
Looking back now almost 8 years later after opening Etain Healthy Living and answering the call, I wouldn’t change a single thing. I honor the journey and I’m humbled by the unfolding of it.

Sharon, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I believe it takes a village to heal ourselves.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I answered that in my first question

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Passion, purpose compassion and fire. Like anything in life there is it’s opposite. It’s best to just accept that there will be bad days amongst the great days. The fire, purpose and passion is what helped me the most during the times it would have been easier to give up.
Not everyone is ready to make healthy changes and choices. It’s scary. We cannot fix anyone. Those of us in the healing world cannot fix anyone. We have to accept where people are, not have an agenda, get your ego out of the way and have compassion doing it.
