We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sharon Champagne Terry. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sharon Champagne below.
Sharon Champagne, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew I wanted to be a writer when life changed for me drastically. I call that moment, pain to purpose. I had an epiphany while I was losing everything that mattered to me in that moment of my life. I was lost in the midst of it all, but God turned it around for my good. I started journaling as a sense of therapy, and that’s when I realized I like to write and create stories. That actually lead to me writing my first book ” The Goddess of Lust, Love, and Infatuation.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into the literary industry as a way to express my thoughts and to build a story that one may relate too. I never thought of creating movies or short films when I entered the field. I provide a variety of stories throughout my books, movies, ghostwriting and motivational speaking. My company focuses on quality of service through a variety of products. We teach others how to write scripts, or coach them through publishing their own book. We provide a safe place to go after your dreams, while you learn how to build your own success story. I am very proud of how far I have come in the literary industry. I went from writing books, to writing movies, and directing them as well.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
It’s so important to stick with WHY you started the journey. My main goal is to leave a legacy for my family and supporters.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
There are many resources in the community, but I truly wish that I knew about building your brand when I first started my journey. Building your brand through networking and connecting with your audience is very important.
