Sharon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

My late mother, Ella Brooks, is the catalyst for my journey as a business owner. I lost her when I was 7, but most of my memories involve her creative spirit. She was always sewing and making various crafts for me and with me. I always had a desire to create in adulthood as a means of staying connected to her. People began to ask if I would sell what I made and due to the demand of the requests that built my confidence in the quality of what I made. During the pandemic, I made the decision to pivot. I noticed an increased demand for black-owned vinyl shops and at the time, there was really only one name that kept popping up. That gave me the spark and excitement for empowerment that, yes, I can make things for you, but it means even more to be able to offer the materials to allow you to create masterpieces your self, whether a small business owner or a craft enthusiast. This is how Beloved Visions Vinyl was born.

I’m Sharon Brooks, a dedicated mother, passionate crafter, and the proud owner of Beloved Visions Vinyl, your ultimate crafting haven.

My journey in the world of crafting began with a deep-rooted love for creativity that was instilled in me by my late mother. Although she left this world when I was just 7, my fondest memories of her revolve around crafting, especially sewing. Those precious moments spent creating together formed the foundation of my lifelong love for crafting.

Beloved Visions Vinyl is more than just a business for me; it’s a heartfelt mission to carry on my mother’s legacy and share the joy of crafting with the world. I believe that creativity has the power to connect people, nurture their spirits, and make the world a more vibrant place.

At Beloved Visions Vinyl we sell crafting materials such as heat transfer vinyl, adhesive vinyl, blank t-shirts, DTF transfers, and much more. In addition to materials, we provide gift personalization as well as drop shipping services.

My goal is simple: to empower fellow crafters and small business owners by offering high-quality and affordable crafting materials. I want to be the driving force behind your artistic endeavors, providing the tools you need to bring your creative visions to life.

I’m most proud of the journey I’ve embarked on with Beloved Visions Vinyl, honoring my late mother’s crafting legacy while nurturing my own passion for creativity. What I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know about me and my brand is that we’re more than just a craft store; we’re a community dedicated to empowering artisans with affordable, high-quality materials. Through Beloved Visions Vinyl, I aim to foster creativity, connection, and inspiration, striving to make a meaningful impact in the crafting world and beyond.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

I think a great example of my resilience is that I don’t allow my health to dictate the trajectory of my business. I have Crohn’s Disease and as many people with an autoimmune disorders know, symptoms can pop up at any time and at any level of severity. In spite of random hospital stays and hiatuses, I will never lose sight of my vision.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

The best sources of new clients for me have been word of mouth and networking. There’s something beautiful and powerful about the connections we make when we’re genuinely invested in each other’s success. Building relationships within our community has not only brought in new clients for my business, but it’s also created a sense of belonging and support for a network of visionaries. Interacting with fellow visionaries has been the heartbeat of my business growth, allowing me to connect with like-minded individuals who appreciate the value of quality materials and creativity.
