We recently connected with Sharlrita Deloatch and have shared our conversation below.
Sharlrita , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
As a Book Publisher, it is very important for me to do what I do best and that’s publish. One day while having a conversation with my husband he stated “why aren’t you publishing multi-author books” I’m very familiar with these types of books and I’ve always been turned off from these types of projects. so I ignored it. Me and Anthony attended a conference in Feb 2022 & I remember the speaker stating he conducted some interviews and transcribe those interviews into books. You know how the light bulb go off in your head? That’s what happened to me. I wrote down the vision. Power House Women Who Win Book Series. I will interview women in different industries and turn the interviews into chapters and create a book. Genius! I started with Book #1 Power House Women Who Win in Coaching and I had the opportunity to interview 14 women and some of those women are first-time authors. I’ve made the process so easy. The authors don’t have to write anything at all. I plan to launch a new book every quarter featuring a new set of women. Book #2 is Power House Women Who Win in Leadership
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I fell into publishing. When I started my entrepreneur journey I started as a speaker and started writing books. 9 books later I fell in love with writing. I stumbled upon my publishing coaching Rhonda and she was launching a course on how to start a publishing business. I took the course and invested in her mentorship and it was the best investment ever. I am still reaping from that investment. Rhonda taught me not only the proper way to publish books but she taught me how to run a publishing company. Publishing as allowed me to coach and publish many powerhouse women in becoming first, second, or even third-time authors. What truly sets me apart is my authors become family. Once you work with us we will be together for a very long time. I also want to teach authors how to start and grow their own publishing company also. Publishing is a million dollar industry & I believe every Entrepnernuer should have several books as apart of their product suite
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is to create multi author books. It gives me as the publisher the opportunity to create more authors in less time. Those multi authors become 1;1 publishing clients in the future.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
The book titled” A Happy Pocket Full of Money. is a great read. This book really expanded my mind about life and how we have more control over our lives then we realize and how easy it is to become wealthy. you will have to read it twice and listen to the audio book
