Alright, Sharissa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission the drives your brand?
My mission is to empower more leaders to thrive from their unique leadership zone of genius, having maximum influence and impact, while not burning out and actually enjoying their careers. This came from my own struggle in my corporate career where there were many things that were misaligned with who I was and what was right for me. Once I discovered coaching everything changed for me and I became very passionate about helping other leaders thrive, feel valued and lead others exceptionally well, all while having a healthy work/life balance. This is what drives me and my business.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Starting a business is never an easy road, especially when you have no experience in it and you are very unfamiliar with the world of sales and marketing. This is where I found myself when I first started my business. It was a long, windy road with lots of struggle along the way but what kept me going is my passion to serve as many people as possible and help them have a career they never could have imagined! My daughter is also a big motivating factor in my life. I want to show her and others that if you have a big dream that God has placed on your heart and you’re others-focused, you can succeed…all you need to do is focus on helping one person at a time and taking the next step to making a difference.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
This is a hot topic for leaders that I coach and what I always share is to simply care…genuinely care for those you work with as people and not just employees. This means caring about what’s important to them, having emotional intelligence, finding out what drives and motivates them, what are their values, what truly matters to them, how do they like to receive recognition, what can make work more fun/enjoyable for them, what do they love/not love about their job, what do they need from their leader, etc. Once you know this, go out of your way to do small things that make a big difference.
