Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shariece Williams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Shariece , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
This mission is deeply rooted in my personal journey and the belief that every child deserves a space where athlete is seen, supported, and celebrated—not just for their skills, but for who they are becoming. Growing up, I didn’t always have access to programs that nurtured both physical ability and personal growth. That’s why BBG isn’t just about tumbling , dance or cheer—it’s about transformation.
We create a culture where kids can fall and get back up, both literally and emotionally. We mentor our athletes to believe in their own potential, to set goals, and to keep pushing—even when things get tough. What makes our mission meaningful is that we’re not just teaching flips—we’re teaching life skills, discipline, and self-worth to not be average, okay, or just good but Beyond Great in any and everything that they do .
Every class, every high-five, every breakthrough moment is part of a bigger vision: to leave a legacy of greatness in the lives of every child who walks through our doors.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is [Shariece Williams], and I’m the founder of Be Beyond Great Tumbling Studio—a space built not just to teach tumbling, cheer, and movement, but to empower kids to believe in their own greatness.
My journey into this industry started from a deep love for both youth mentorship and athletics. I was a cheerleader growing up, and I’ve always been passionate about performance, discipline, and team culture. But I also saw the gaps—especially for kids who didn’t fit the mold or couldn’t afford access to quality training and mentorship. I knew I wanted to create something different. Something intentional. Something beyond great.
At BBG, we offer tumbling classes, trampoline training, all-star cheerleading, and specialty workshops for kids ages 15 months to 16 years. We also provide birthday party hosting, fitness events, and leadership-building experiences. But more than the services, what we really offer is confidence, structure, and a safe place for children to grow physically, emotionally, and socially.
What sets us apart is our energy, our culture, and our mission. We’re not a “one-size-fits-all” kind of studio—we meet our athletes where they are and push them to be their best selves without comparison. We invest in each child personally. We have cameras for safety, we have a snack shack that teaches independence, and we run the studio like a village where every child is known by name and encouraged by everyone.
I’m most proud of the transformations. Seeing a shy 4-year-old blossom into a confident team leader. Watching a student finally master a back handspring after months of self-doubt. Or getting messages from parents about how BBG has changed their child’s entire attitude. That’s what keeps us going.
For anyone considering joining our studio or following our journey, know this: We’re not just building athletes—we’re building leaders, dreamers, and doers. And we’re committed to showing every child what it means to be Beyond Great

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
“All I needed was my first yes. The system lined up.”
I built Be Beyond Great Tumbling Studio from the ground up—with no roadmap, no mentor in this industry, and no one around me who had ever opened a gym. It was raw, real, and incredibly challenging. I had to create my own blueprint from scratch—figuring out everything from building the space, setting up payroll, designing the website and logo, to running social media, planning community outreach, and setting goals month after month. I did it all because I believed in the mission, but I also quickly learned: doing it all comes at a cost.
I’m a mother of three young kids and a wife to an amazing, supportive husband. And while I was pouring into my dream, I realized I was burning myself out. I had to unlearn the idea that doing everything myself meant doing it right. The real growth came when I learned to delegate, to trust my team, and to let go of control so I could reclaim my time—not just as a business owner, but as a woman, a mother, and a wife.
Now, I’m proud to lead a staff of 15 and serve over 480 students in just one year. I’ve built a culture, not just a company. A movement, not just a gym. And I’ve learned that trusting others with your vision doesn’t diminish your impact—it amplifies it. Because when your purpose is aligned, the right people show up. The system really does line up.

Have you ever had to pivot?
“Pivoting wasn’t a choice—it was a necessity.”
One of the biggest pivots I had to make was shifting from being the one who did everything to becoming the leader who empowers everyone. When I started Be Beyond Great Tumbling Studio, I was the coach, the marketer, the designer, the cleaner, the scheduler—there wasn’t a single piece of the business I didn’t touch. But as we grew, I realized that doing it all wasn’t sustainable. I was exhausted, missing moments with my kids, and stretched way too thin. I loved what I was doing, but I was burning out trying to carry the entire vision alone.
The turning point came when I decided to fully step into my role as a CEO and mentor. I learned to delegate, build systems, and most importantly—trust my team. I began mentoring young athletes who had a passion for coaching, helping them create their own identity in the gym. I pulled out the best in them, taught them how to lead with confidence and purpose, and guided them in aligning with our mission to be Beyond Great. Watching them grow into strong, impactful coaches has been one of the most fulfilling parts of this journey.
That pivot didn’t just help me—it elevated our entire gym. Because now, BBG isn’t just led by me. It’s led by a team of empowered, purpose-driven coaches who are helping shape the next generation of athletes with heart, skill, and excellence.
