Sharhonda, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career

Kids and teens need to learn more about who they are while they’re young. They need tools to assist them to creating a growth mindset, self-confidence. They need their parents to give them quality time and pour into them with the same or greater energy they put into their careers.

Sharhonda, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I got into the coaching industry because I was in search of someone to provide me with the steps necessary to actually move the needle within my business that understood me and my unique abilities, someone that didn’t just care about the money I provided, but also my results. Someone that could relate to my background and could help lead me in the right direction while still maintaining my authentic self. I didn’t find it so I became it.

I love working in small intimate groups because I am very result driven and sometimes that little extra time can provide a lasting breakthrough- that often gets lost when there’s a large group.

I assist women in business to start & sustain businesses built on integrity, value, good nature & intent so they can live authentically and build generational wealth.

Wealth to me isn’t just financial, it’s health, spirituality, relationships, mental health, freedom to decide to do what you are best at, etc. Those that have similar background as me didn’t have these things passed down, so creating it is what must be done.

I am most proud of when my clients start to change the way they view themselves and begin to see their value, start to change the trajectory of their own lives, therefore the lives of those around them.

If I’m giving 90 days to assist, I’ll assist them to pursue and achieve what they’ve always desired… as long as they know what they want I can create a roadmap to help then to get there.

Rather thats setting up the business structure, automation, product/service offerings, obtaining peace in a noisy world, etc. I love assisting others to help them to create the business and life they desire.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

After obtaining a lucrative amount of success within my business an unfortunate situation occurred that sent me into a depression. I didn’t realize that I was so far into it because I was doing the motions as a functional depressed person.

Fast forward some months, nearly one year later – I realized what was happening and I worked hard to gain back control over my mind and life.

I started to recognize the importance of mental health and surrounding myself with people that wanted the best for me. I began taking more time to work on my mindset, though, self confidence, and beliefs so that I can be the best version of myself and ultimately create the life that I wanted so badly to have.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to unlearn is the belief that I must follow a pre-determined path or conform to societal expectations. I also had to unlearn that failure was something to be ashamed of or avoided at all costs. I had to learn that failure is a part of the growth process and I needed to embrace it, look forward to it to take risks to unlock my full potential to achieve the success I desire.

I considered one of my businesses to be a failure because I allowed depression to take control and it deterred me from wanting to try again for a long time. When I did try to get back, I was nervous held lots of self imposed setbacks and self sabotaged, quite frankly I was on a hamster wheel. I had to forgive myself for who and what I allowed to control my life and decide to take back my control and release that guilt to start on the journey to creating a business that I love.
