We were lucky to catch up with Shaquile Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.
Shaquile, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
To do what I do I learned from my dad but just watching him and working with him helped me alot. Knowing the things I know now I would have been more out going more energetic and engaged more. The skills I believe are most essential is the mind. Distractions most definitely distractions.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well I’m Young Repa aka Straight Joka I’m from Sherman just an Hour from Dallas, I got started in to music watching my dad work in his studio and everything watching him helped me learn and work on my craft. I am a artist I can produce beats whatever you need musically I can pretty much do. I’m mostly proud of me making it this far into my career and I would like my fans know that I’m not just a one music genre person I come from a background of a music loving family so my music is not on just one genre
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me the most rewarding is when someone tells me that my music has help them get threw se dark times.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The need for me to let out my emotions and to be Heard drives me and helps my journey.
