We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shanovia Gillard. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shanovia below.
Shanovia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you wish you had waited to start your own firm or do you wish you had started sooner?
I definitely wish I had started sooner. Had I known that helping people repair their credit would generate so much revenue I would have quit my dental assistant job way sooner then I did. I never made 6 figures working in dental and I would’ve never made 6 in my state so starting a business was definitely very rewarding for me.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
First and foremost I am shanovia gillard the owner of gillard global credit repair. I started my business once I realized it was a need for assistance with credit repair, I was my first client I had a 500 credit score and I wasn’t able to get approvals for nice things and it’s not a good feeling. That’s when I asked my family like hey let me fix you guys credit they didn’t have really bad credit but it was a few things to remove and once I did that for them I was like okay yes I’m about to help everybody let’s make this a business. I can say though once you start a business you have to stay consistent in order too reap the business of what’s sure too come of it. As a business owner you also have to be disciplined too know that yes once you start making a lot of money you also want to save money as well that requires a lot of discipline. We love too say we set ourselves apart because we provide very good customer support services as well as changing lives through credit our clients get amazing results and can lIve a life of financial freedom. We love that for them .
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think my ability too gain my clients and potential clients trust has helped me build a very great reputation within my business. I get clients signing up and they are like “I heard so many great things about you and your company” and I love it, I really love that for me.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One thing I had to unlearn was stop doubting my own potential. Your going too have slow months in business and your going to have really fast months so prepare for those I had too shift my mindset to understand that this is a part of business I used too get really discouraged when I didn’t have a client book for one day I was super dramatic but it’s part of business that I have gotten used too we don’t really have slow months anymore so I don’t get panic attacks, I also have clients joining me monthly.
