Alright, Shannon thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?

I had a client that was from out of state and his mother was suddenly put into a nursing home. It was very difficult for him to get to the property so to make the process easier for him, I volunteered to help clean the house, worked on removing the items in the home, yard and garage and lined up people to fix the property so he wouldn’t have to deal with it. Going above and beyond for my clients is a natural task for me and my clients greatly appreciate knowing that I will go the extra mile to take the burden off of them.

Shannon, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Real estate was a natural industry for me. Prior to my life in real estate I was a Recruiting Manager for a regional Pharmacy chain. Speaking to people and getting them excited about what I had to offer was in my blood. I also had an interior design business so these two passions tied together very well and lead me gracefully into real estate. I also am a Master Naturalist living in the Brainerd Lakes Area. I have a deep passion for preserving and enhancing our natural world and educating people on how to make the natural world a better place to be. As a Naturalist and a Realtor, I love teaching my clients how to live in harmony with nature and making their lakeshore and surroundings a healthier, more beautiful place.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Being authentic, honest, kind and compassionate has always been a driving force for me. I love to kill people with kindness. When you carry this attitude and style, you will always win! I have always lived by the philosophy that our jobs as humans is the make the world a better place to be, every single day.

I love to be personally connected to my clients. Once we work together, we often become friends. I treat them accordingly and always stay in touch.
