We were lucky to catch up with Shannon Suriano recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Shannon, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
This lead me down the path of not only wanting to improve myself, but to improve others as well. Showing everyone that they are capable of anything. I went on to study at Purdue University and ended up graduating at the top of my class with not one, but four degrees. To this day, I hold an A.A in Physical Therapy, a B.S in Nutrition Science, a M.S in Public Health, and a M.S in Health Education. Alongside my college degrees, I have also earned several certifications to accredit my knowledge and skill to surpass others on my level. I am a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, youth exercise specialist, youth yoga instructor, diet specialist in pediatrics, and hold a diploma in child psychology.
Through my 14 years of coaching I have had the privilege of teaching star athletes, homeschool classes, special needs children, teens, college athletes, and everyone in between.
FIT365 KIDS provides group fitness classes for kids and teens, private lessons, camps, events, nutrition classes, homeschool fitness classes and special needs fitness classes to everyone aged 5-17yrs. We provide training geared towards strength, agility, endurance, balance, coordination and flexibility. We welcome everyone no matter if they are a beginner or an advanced athlete.
Since launching FIT365 KIDS, we have been featured on ABC Action News twice, for our unique program, awarded the BEST OF THE BEST Tampa Bay award for best gym and training studio, awarded the Global Recognition award for client attentiveness, and I was nominated as the best youth coach in the region.
Our main goal has always been to provide kids with a safe and encouraging place to workout, gain strength, confidence and reach their goals. Our gym is known for treating everyone like family and we thrive on creating an impactful future for the children in our community.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing our clientele has been social media and word of mouth. When you treat your clients with respect, and they love your program, they do not hesitate to tell their friends and family. This also lead our social media to increase clientele. Being consistent with posting advertisements, client transformation photos, award pictures and camp photos, it sparks an interest in community members who might not have known about us prior.
