We were lucky to catch up with Shannon Brown recently and have shared our conversation below.
Shannon, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
Shannon, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a pivot coach and content creator. I work virtually with clients across the globe to help them navigate major decisions, life transitions, and execute on their desires for change. Together we partner to create a strategy that allows them to make the pivot.Through content creation I bring together principles from my coaching practice and pair them with real-life examples of the things that I have learned through life, love, and the pursuit of purpose.
This year, I will expand my practice to include virtual workshops and group sessions. Additionally, and I am so excited about this, I will be releasing digital and physical products that aim to support personal development and increase the capacity of each person to create the life they dream of.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
It’s NOT too late! Comparison repeatedly tells us stories about what we should have, where we should be, and what we should do. The truth is, our journeys are as unique as our fingerprints. We have the ability to live 10 lives if we choose to while we are here. You are not too old, you are not too young, you are not too new, you are not too late. We don’t always have a choice in how we start, but we have the power to decide how we finish.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could go back I truly would make the same choices. YES, even the career paths that were so clearly not a fit. Each of those experiences have become so valuable when it comes to relating to a wide variety of people in varying stages of life. And while I didn’t always see it or understand it, I’ve been placed in the unique position to not only be effective but authentic. In the past, I would have wished I got here sooner, but I love my journey. I am now exactly where I should be.
