Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shannon Bonneau. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Shannon thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
My husband and I love to travel! We try our best to carve out time to travel just the two of us but also with our children; whether it’s a big vacation or short trips to the beach. It can be difficult to get away with our business, but everyone needs a break once in a while!

Shannon, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My husband and I have had other businesses that take place around this industry, and he has long talked about wanting a sports bar. Through one of our other ventures, we found out about this space becoming available and jumped at the chance to make it our own! We’ve lived in this area for a little over 5 years now and there are so many great local businesses right here and we saw an opportunity to add to the mix with something a little different. There are so many families in this huge concentration of neighborhoods right here and, having young children of our own, we thought it would be nice to have a place where we could go watch a game with our kids. I’m proud of the fact that we see families coming in during the day or early evening to cheer for their favorite teams together. I also like the fact that later in the evening it becomes more of a bar atmosphere for adults; I’m proud that we can provide both in this area.

How did you build your audience on social media?
During the remodel process I posted updates that ranged from what we were doing in the bar to asking questions about everyone’s favorite sports/athletes/sports movies, etc. I researched social media strategies that would be the most engaging and increase the traffic on our pages. I continue to try to find new ways to increase our likes and social media engagement.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Our best source of new customers is our existing customers. We have built up a fantastic group of regulars, people who gave us a chance when they saw our place on social media, in the newspaper, or just when they went to the grocery store next-door, who continue to bring their friends in every day and it’s a wonderful feeling knowing people enjoy our place enough to want to share it with other people in their lives.
