We were lucky to catch up with Shannon Berg recently and have shared our conversation below.

Shannon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

I started this business just a little over a year ago with no clue what I was doing. A wife, mom of 2, and a lot of energy. When I first heard about a hat bar, I was immediately intrigued and started doing my research. With a love for meeting new people and fashion I knew this was going to be a perfect fit for me. I dove in headfirst and never looked back. I took a risk and it is paying off!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I offer a fun, unique experience for all. Men, women, children, there’s a hat for everyone. Whether it’s a straw hat, felt hat, or trucker, we’ve got you covered! How did you build your audience on social media?

Social media has played a HUGE role in my business. I have actually spent zero dollars marketing my business. I post on a daily basis and use hashtags to draw on customers looking for my type of product. Also adding collaborators and other businesses help spread the word as well. The more the merrier!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

So I had a crazy dream to make Lainey Wilson a hat and get it to her. I envisioned a gorgeous Hat and made it. She was coming to my hometown for a concert and I had friends who had seats right by the stage. Everyone thought I was crazy, but I said I was going to get her that hat. The concert came, the opportunity arose, and we got her that hat. I cried like a baby in the stands, watching her, hold my hat and say to the entire stadium that it was beautiful. Every time I look back on those photos and as I am writing this right now, my eyes tear up every time. I manifested it and made it happen. It was pure magic.
