We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Shaniese Laylor- Bogle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Shaniese thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the best advice you’ve ever given to a client? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)

One of the best advice I could give to a client is, ultimately, only you can make the commitment to cultivating the life you desire. Let the mistakes stay where they are- in the past.

Seek the professional help you need to process, release, and integrate the memories of the event that have caused you to feel hopeless and helpless, currently.
If you are dealing with trauma, seek a trauma informed professional who understands that trauma is not just about a memory but it is a body experience. Thus, you will be able to get the appropriate help you need.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Hello everyone! I am Shaniese Laylor-Bogle, 4x Author, International & Transformational Speaker, CEO & Founder of MBS Accelerate, Founder of a Suicide Prevention Non-Profit Organization called Will To Live Jamaica Foundation, Educator, Wife of a supportive, loving husband, Mom to two beautiful, smart, little princesses, I’m Daughter of The Most High God, and appropriately dubbed, ‘The Trauma Boss’.

I believe I am hailed as the latter due to not only overcoming the stings of childhood trauma, but now being in a place where I teach other women, with zeal, power, and passion how to heal after their own horrid experiences, so that they can go on to participating in healthy, satisfying relationships.

Regarding how I got into the business of trauma and emotional healing, I would honestly say it chose me… The Lord Jesus Christ saw it fit to call me into this area of service of helping hurting women to heal- for His name’s sake.
By that I mean, from I was very young (pre teen years) I discerned heavily the call of counseling on my life. Something in my DNA, my core, my spirit man, my entire being was consumed with an unspoken mandate and divine passion. All I felt and heard on the inside were: “You are called, chosen, sent, graced and incredibly favoured in ministering to the brokenhearted.”

As I got older, I realized I was having experiences in the prophetic regarding seeing and hearing/ feeling people’s pain, without even knowing what was happening to me. Not only could I see painful situations people were going through and feel and hear, but I could solve….from an early age.

Then, things began to get more intense! Many people would randomly walk up to me and prophesy- “You will speak to the nations!” “You will be on the world’s stages!” “You are God’s mouth piece- you are sent to bind up the broken-hearted!” “You are the David in your family who will slay many Goliaths others didn’t have the information to fulfil. Prepare. Prepare!” And soooo much more.

Overtime, as I got more information about the prophetic (still learning), the Lord would confirm over and over that trauma healing and relationship rebuilding is where He has placed me- because I kept on seeing scenes of people’s lives and areas they were hurting in, without them telling me. I am just humbled and honored to be used to serve His people.

My brand and online Coaching business is, Mind, Body, Spirit-Accelerate! or, MBS Accelerate. Regarding products and services, our main product/service is our 3 month Trauma/Emotional Healing program called ‘Bye Bye Pain’. In addition, we offer self-paced courses on Healing Rejection & Abandonment Wounds for healthy Relationships, we offer a very wide range of masterclasses- from healing heavy mistrust after trauma to resurrecting dead/ broken relationships after pain.

We also offer 1:1 emotional game plan sessions. They have been very powerful and life-changing! And, our most recent service is our mentorship program called ‘JUMP- Deliberately Deciding To Go Higher!’ where we prepare & unlock women into healing, deliverance, faith, business, healthy relationships, whole, and accelerated living via deliberate and strategic intimacy with Jesus, revelatory teachings, personal experiences, and evidence-based research.

What sets me apart in this area of service from others are the following: I partner with The Holy Spirit- in fact, I have given over my business, my ministry, my capabilities, my calling, my gift to Him…and I follow as best as possible, His lead. Not only am I proclaimed Faith-Based but I am unapologetic about it because I know who I walk with and who has called, graced, and sent me.

I am not only faith-based but I am trained and certified in my area of services. So up to date, cutting edge research is heavily incorporated into my business, so that I can effectively and fairly cater to the spirit, soul (mind/will/emotions), and body of people.
And of course, my personal experiences add ‘the icing on the cake. I do not only ‘talk the talk’ but I have ‘walked the walk’. I have faced the hurt, the feelings of unworthiness, the pain, the shame, the wounds of abandonment due to to parental separation…and, it could have ruined my marriage. But God…all God.

I am most proud of the deliverance, emotional healing, physical healings we’ve seen in our programs and 1:1 sessions- from the healing of throbbing/ anxious minds, insomnia, to cancer GONE, in the name of Jesus!

I am most proud of the personal growth I have made, as I do learn from my clients as well.
I am proud of the marriages and relationships that have been restored and resurrected due to my husband and I being willing to submit to the stretching of teaching via YouTube weekly (When Two Become One)- these platforms require increased capacity, but the stretching is for the growth of the Kingdom and the glory of God.

I am grateful for the emotional growth and maturity in my clients. Dysregulated individuals who walked into our ‘office’ leave after a few months regulated, empowered, and functional again!

What I want my internet family to know is, you are on a journey…the human experience. Your story doesn’t end here. I promise you. Yes, it may be a painful one now, but you are not beyond hope and help. There are resources available to assist you.
Every bit of trauma can be healed, with the right help. You are loved, You have a purpose. You have a destiny to walk in and fulfil.
The trauma you faced was not your fault, but you are responsible for the healing; suffering is really a choice.

I am here so that you don’t have to spend years dysregulated, unhappy, hurting, going through failed relationships, physically bound, and spiritually weakened.
Let’s heal today, holistically, one step at a time.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?

If I could go back in time, I would definitely choose the same speciality. To be honest, when you are sent you do not have much of a choice. But apart from that, I have a deep passion for trauma counseling/ coaching. Time stops when I am in sessions, on stages, making presentations, teaching about healing and restoration. People get to lead changed , whole lives according to their true identity and purpose they have in Christ, after they have healed and I’m here for it all.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?

Apart from being trained, knowledgeable, and experienced in my field I believe understanding clearly my identity in Jesus Christ is firstly what is most important to me succeeding. Knowing that I am led by the Spirit of Excellence secures my faith in business that I cannot be unheard.

Secondly, I have to be committed to putting in the work. The way is made but no one will drag me along. I have to do what is required of me to develop myself, invest in and grow my business, stay updated with research and most importantly stay in tune with the Holy Spirit.
