Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shaneice Warfield. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Shaneice, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My most meaningful project has been creating my own platform/ brand named Orientation™. Orientation is an online platform (live interview and performance) that highlights and celebrates the newcomers to the Hip-Hop and R&B industry. Orientation is like a virtual backstage pass that grants access into the world of emerging talent. Through intimate interviews and candid conversations, Orientation explores the inspirations, challenges, and creative processes of hip-hop and R&B’s next generation of artists. From their humble beginnings to their aspirations for the future, Orientation gains insight into the stories behind the artists that are shaping the cultural landscape. Followed by a live-to-tape performance, Orientation is the destination for discovering the next big thing in hip-hop and R&B.
Orientation was created as I got into the live music/ entertainment industry by producing several large-scale college/university concerts and experiential branded events around the Greater Los Angeles area and more. I have produced large college concerts for artist like: Tierra Whack, DaniLeigh, Flo Milli, and more. Most, recently, I partnered with Rock The Bells and M&M’S to produce the HBCU School of Music program at the National Museum for African American Music in Nashville, TN. For this program, I was paired with four HBCU students (with entertainment based career fields) to teach them how to produce a live music concert that featured legendary rapper Cordae. This was a meaningful program for the students to learn more about the music industry and get some hands-on experience in the field of live entertainment.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I got my start in live entertainment producing large-scale college/ university concerts and activation events. This experience has allowed me to demonstrate my ability to connect and produce live events for a diverse range of talents and brands, each with their unique styles and artistic visions.
My knack for event management and attention to detail, have made me a sought-after figure in the world of live entertainment and event management. My track record serves as a testament to my expertise, and unwavering passion for the industry as I continue to shape the future of live music experiences.
My future plan is to grow Orientation into a global music festival (Orientation Fest) in 2025. My vision is to create an unforgettable experience for music lovers and to bring together the biggest emerging talent and acts on a grand stage.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My vision is to make impact and to be a contributor to the music entertainment world. I want to create platforms that give emerging artists and music lovers an opportunity to share and create a community of support, celebration and, freedom to express their individuality through their music. Which is why I created my brand Orientation™ which orients its audience to the culture’s next generation of Hip-Hop and R&B.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I believe that society could look for ways to create/ develop the necessary resources to nurture, support, and fund creative ideas and projects that make an impact on our youth. I also, think it is important for creatives to support and collaborate with other creatives in order to keep a thriving creative ecosystem. We often see creatives developing similar entities and/or platforms as their peers. Networking across, collaborating, or combining resources to reach a higher mission, will in fact assist with the flourishing of the creators ecosystem.
