We were lucky to catch up with Shaneice Oree recently and have shared our conversation below.

Shaneice, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?

Shaneice, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Hi! My name is SEOree’  (Shaneice Oree). I’m a Wilmington,DE based fashion stylist I have always had a passion and flare for fashion. Even as a little girl I always kept my Barbie dolls in the best outfits! I continued in fashion as an adult, I worked in the retail business for eight years.  I was as a sales associate with repeat customers that I personally styled and shopped for.  I also had the opportunity  organized and style in-store fashion shows to showcase the newest collections. I then with hard work was able to become a visual merchandiser, which I am currently still doing(with another company) along with being a stylist. Not only did I dress the mannequins, but I was also able to showcase my creative abilities in other ways. Such as setting home displays, setting displays different beauty events and also decorating for the Christmas holiday. I truly enjoyed what I did but I knew it was time to take my styling to the next level. So in 2017 I decided to attend a online school for stylists called School of Style. At the end of my courses I  become a certified fashion stylist. After finishing school I was blessed to work on some really cool projects. I’ve styled a music video, brand photos, fashion shows, and I’ve been a in-store stylist for a boutique. I was also a brand model for the boutique as well. Shout out to Jacqueline Tucker for that opportunity. I also create outfit Inspo content for social media which has become a new love of mine. As a stylist I’m able to create art through fashion. Styling my clients gives me such an excitement inside. I’m able to  help make them not only feel good on the outside, but on the inside as well. My mission is to help the hard working person feel amazing, confident, and ready to take on the world with great style.  My journey has not always been easy and my story is still being written. But I know that the Lord Jesus Christ knows the plans he has for me.  And I know with him and the push for my mom Wanda Oree and family I can do anything in life. So if you have a dream keep praying, pressing, and putting in that work. It’s Going to happen!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source for gaining new clients has definitely been through social media. I create fashion content, where I create inspiration looks and I’ve had clients reach out to me based on that. I’ve also gained new clients by word of mouth, and in my opinion that never gets old!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Working with my clients I’m all about helping to make them feel good and creating looks with out breaking the bank. I’ve definitely built my reputation based off of that. My clients love that I can work with their budgets big or small.
