We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shanee Taylor. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shanee below.
Shanee, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My business name was SHEEE Creates up until a few weeks ago and i felt an urge to change it and as of now the new name is SHEE Creates Vision. S.H.E.E. means She healed evolved then Emerged. My mission is to help Woman and young girls, bring to life their dreams and visions so they can See that All things are possible. No matter their background, their environment, their age, their past or current stage, it’s never to late to live out your dreams.
This Business was a dream of mine back in 2003 and I didn’t think it would be possible. Single parent raising 4 kids on my own and very close to being homeless. I literally had a dream about a printing business. Even then I doubted myself and the dream, but I couldn’t shake it. Years of struggling went by, my daughters are now out of high school and I remembered the dream and this time I couldn’t shake it. Well about 3 years ago, I decided it was time to stop dreaming and start living my dreams. I purchased some equipment and shirts and I begin there and I haven’t stop yet. I’m still learning and teaching others what I learned to do and not to do. I had no help, no one wanted to share there gifts, I struggled but I didn’t give up on myself nor my dream. If I can live my dream, why can’t others.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well, I got into the business by way of a dream and a hunger to do better, to live better and to help other women. I dreamed I owned a printing business and I saw myself printing images, Cards and Shirts and a lot of other stuff. The dream was so real , I woke up and wrote everything I saw in a notebook and I still have the notebook. I’m a single mother of 4 girls, I struggled to take care of them, at one time I thought we’d be homeless But God! I remember falling on my face crying out to God for help, it was a life changing moment for me. When I got up off the floor, everything had changed. I never was in that place of desperation and wanted to give up ever again. I had a plan. It took a few years but that day finally came, I took a leap and purchased a heat press from Amazon, some shirts and a few images off Etsy and began teaching myself. I started out with shirts then decorating wine glasses. Now I create my own images (most of the times). I sale Tumblers, T shirts, Wine glasses, party favors, pillow covers, lap trays and much more. I create Welcome signs and graphics for my sisters business, she’s a event planner. I’m proud of myself for not giving up on my dream even when it got hard and I wasn’t receiving no sales. I wanted to give up but I could because if I did I would let others down. I think what sets me apart from most is , I don’t just do this the money, it’s ministry. I give a lot my work away. I do this because I believe it will help other women see that you have to start with a dream then build it up and make it a reality. It is possible if you believe. My images I create speaks from the heart, from a place of freedom and a place where dreams do come true. I am a dreamer and i know I’m not the only one out there, My most proud moments is when I create something and I find someone who needs it and I gift it to them, it’s like I created just for them. This is how I give back and I believe it’s why I’m still in business. You have to give back, you have to share your gift, your gift wasn’t given to you for you, it was given to you to share with others. Our motto is You dream it, We help create it. Shee creates Visions is here to help you bring your Dreams and Visions to life. Shee Creates Vision is not just a printing company but a company that Empowers Women and your girls to heal from negativity and emerge into the life they create to live.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to show the little girl in me, the single struggling parent and the women who are close to giving up, don’t quite with a little elbow grease a lot of tears and even more prays you will emerge in that creative being you dreamed you were.. Anything is possible if you believe..

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source for new clients has been games for me.. I go live or post a question and who ever gets the question right wins my new item. When they win the item. I ask them to post on all social media platforms with my website. I always get new clients that way. I make new connections and I’m giving back to others. I love it and I’m not losing anything, I gain more.
