We were lucky to catch up with Shane Murray recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Shane , thanks for joining us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?

I do , I was a late bloomer to the creative side . Looking back I would’ve switched from my business major to journalism/ business.

Things happen for a reason so I don’t regret the journey , but I definitely wish i knew what I know now back then .

Shane , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I wrote and published my first book , civil disturbance through iuniverse . The deal went bad and I ended up canceling my publishing deal .

I went on to republish the book by self publishing. I self publish my first poetry book and releases civil disturbance at the same in 2018.

I wrote my third book , the 90s poetry book with world stage press in 2022.

I went on to do a few magazine interviews, several features, and I’m working on a comic book / cartoon coming soon .

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to be a renaissance man . I want to be a cross between magic Johnson and nick cannon creating projects on business /creative side to employ more minorities.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the positive feedback and making money off something you created yourself from the ground up . As a creative whatever project you create is part of your legacy and if you can create additional income off of it , then that’s a bonus and a blessing.
