Alright, Shane thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I was about 10 years old and my father had my twin brother and I sit down and watch Austin city limits with Stevie ray vaughn and after seeing that, guitar was all I could and still currently think about
Shane , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Shane Bond is a singer-songwriter from southern Michigan. He was immersed in music from a young age while sitting in on band practices with his father’s band, The Grizz. At age eleven he started performing gigs with his own band Sweet Action. His most recent song, FTW has opened to positive reviews.
Shane was greatly influenced by the music of Tom Petty, Dave Matthews, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Neil Young, Jim Croce, Paul Rogers, and the Beatles as well as several local musicians and mentors. His style is a blend of blues, folk, and acoustic-rock. Shane is dedicated to his craft, playing several instruments, and prides himself on being able and willing to jam with anybody, anywhere, anytime.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
We’ll where I’m from the community is pretty good about keeping the open mic and singer songwriter nights going… everyone starts out playing there local towns and venues and as long as we have places and businesses that allow us creatives to play and showcase our talents I believe the rock n roll will stay rolling and rocking!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
