My name is Neesha Colvin, owner of SBM LLC, a loc maintenance and loc extension studio dedicated to high-quality care, cultural respect, and long-term hair health. I specialize in loc maintenance, starter locs, and premium loc extensions, offering services tailored to each client’s needs.

I entered this industry through a genuine passion for locs and the artistry behind them. Over time, I saw how many clients struggled with thinning, tension, breakage, or a lack of proper guidance. This inspired me to create a professional space where clients receive expert care, clear education, and personalized solutions for healthy, sustainable growth.

What sets SBM LLC apart is the focus on both technique and client experience. I take pride in providing a calm, professional, and supportive environment where clients feel respected and well informed about their hair. What has helped build my reputation is first and foremost my results. Clients consistently see healthier hair, cleaner installs, and long-lasting work— and those outcomes speak louder than anything I could ever say. Alongside results, I’ve built trust by being thorough, honest, and highly intentional with every service. I take time to educate clients, explain what their hair truly needs, and provide solutions that protect their long-term loc health.

Consistency, professionalism, and genuine care have all played a role. Clients know that when they come to me, they will receive quality work, a respectful environment, and reliable guidance. Word-of-mouth referrals and the transformations I’ve helped clients achieve have been the foundation of my reputation and the growth of my brand.

One moment that truly reflects my resilience happened early in my journey, before SBM LLC was fully established. I had been working out of a small space with limited tools and almost no resources, trying to build a client base from the ground up. At that time, I was doing everything—marketing, scheduling, buying supplies, taking clients, and still trying to master new techniques. It felt like I was pouring in more energy than I was getting back.

One day, a client came to me after a damaging installation done elsewhere. Her locs were thinning, uneven, and causing her pain. She told me she had almost given up on her loc journey completely. I spent hours carefully correcting her installation, educating her, and rebuilding her confidence piece by piece. A few months later, her locs were thriving—and she told me that appointment was the first time she felt truly cared for by a loctition.

That experience reminded me why I started and pushed me through a period where quitting would have been easier than starting over. Instead, I doubled down on my craft, improved my skills, invested in better tools, and poured even more into my clients.

Seeing her transformation—and knowing I helped someone regain trust in their loc journey—showed me that resilience isn’t just about pushing through challenges. It’s about staying committed to the purpose behind the work. That moment strengthened my belief in the path I chose and became one of the building blocks of SBM LLC.
