We recently connected with Shana Auguste and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Shana, thanks for joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
There have been many defining moments throughout my career in property management, but the most pivotal came while I was pregnant with my twin daughters. After 12 years in the industry, I had a sobering realization: I couldn’t see myself thriving or truly enjoying the growth opportunities ahead. For the first time, I admitted to myself that I felt trapped in a career I no longer loved.
What made this moment even more profound was the timing. As I stood on the threshold of motherhood, I feared what it would mean to bring children into a life that felt misaligned with my purpose. I was internally miserable, disconnected from my work, and yearning for something deeper—something that lit me up from the inside out.
That experience became a turning point. I made a quiet yet powerful promise to myself—and to the universe—that I would find my way out. I was committed to closing that chapter and opening a new one rooted in work that felt heart-centered, mission-driven, and aligned with my core values.

Shana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well, I’m Shana Auguste—also known as the LUV Spreadah! I’m often considered an intuitive wellness and empowerment coach, but more truthfully, I am a TRUE You Coach™—the proud founder of Just LUV Coaching & Consulting.
I support women—especially mothers and caregivers—in rediscovering their voice, honoring their truth, and aligning their lives with purpose through healing-centered coaching, intuitive practices, and transformational tools.
My journey into this work wasn’t linear. I spent nearly two decades in property management, climbing the ladder and doing what I thought I was “supposed” to do. But the birth and diagnoses of my twin daughters shifted everything—for my highest good.
For five years, I carried an inner knowing that I was disconnected from spirit and deeply misaligned in my career. That knowing eventually became the catalyst not just for the change I needed, but the healing my entire family deserved. I spent those years on an inward journey—toward truth, wholeness, and reclaiming my soul’s path. That path led me home to myself—and to a mission to support other women in doing the same.
Through my coaching programs, workshops, visualizations, and wellness offerings, I create safe, soulful spaces for women to:
Rediscover themselves in their truest essence
Heal emotional wounds and release self-doubt
Learn intuitive tools for personal empowerment
Set meaningful, spirit-aligned goals rooted in self-worth
Transform burnout into balance through soul care and self-love
What sets my work apart is that it’s deeply heart-centered and intuitive, yet grounded in practical strategy. I meet each woman exactly where she is and hold space for her to rise—reclaiming the truth she may have buried beneath expectations, fear, or fatigue.
I’m especially proud of the community I’m building through We Are Mommas, a support group for mothers raising children with different abilities. It’s a space rooted in love, truth, and mutual support—a reflection of my core belief that peace is our birthright. We all deserve to walk in purpose, experience joy, and heal in community. And when we do it together, our power multiplies.
More than anything, I want people to know this: You are #1. You are worthy. You don’t have to become more of anything to be deserving. You simply have to remember who you truly are. My work exists to help you return to that truth—and rise, in your own timing, in your own way, and with your full power.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was how to stop getting in my own way.
Growing up, I internalized a lot of messaging about who I should be—from family, mentors, supervisors, and even well-meaning friends. I was an obedient child, eager to help, eager to please. That made me a great worker and a reliable presence in others’ lives—but it also conditioned me to silence my own voice in favor of external expectations.
I often felt torn between what I was taught and the quiet, persistent voice rising within me—a voice that felt like purpose, like truth, like me. But when you’re handed a “baton” from those you love—along with all the expectations that come with it—it can be hard to set it down and choose your own race.
By my late teens and early twenties, I had full control over the decision making in my life, yet I still found myself abiding by rules that weren’t mine. I was living inside boxes that others had built and labeled “a good fit.” The people-pleaser in me kept trying to meet everyone else’s standards, hoping that following the path laid out for me would eventually lead to fulfillment. But it didn’t.
In my mid to late twenties, everything began to shift. I realized that the disconnect in my life stemmed from repeatedly pushing my own voice aside. I had become a stranger to myself in an attempt to be familiar to others.
When I finally made the decision to trust myself—despite fear, uncertainty, and even loss—the magic began to unfold. I let go of relationships that no longer aligned. I became my own source of validation, my own guide, my own healer. I stopped getting in my own way and started clearing the path toward a life rooted in fulfillment, purpose, adventure, and authenticity.
Unlearning the habit of self-abandonment was one of the hardest—and most liberating—gifts I could’ve ever given myself.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
In 2020, my twin daughters were being evaluated for developmental delays. By June of 2021, they were officially diagnosed with autism. At that point, I was already a single mother and the full responsibility for their care rested on my shoulders. I had been working in property management for over 16 years when I made the bold—but necessary—decision to resign and never look back.
I knew in my soul that I couldn’t continue down a career path that left me unfulfilled and burnt out, while also being the present, intentional mother I dreamed of being. My children’s diagnosis became the divine push I didn’t know I needed. It gave me the clarity to step out on faith—to tend to my daughters’ needs and prioritize my mental and emotional well-being.
I needed time to process the diagnosis, to learn how to advocate for them, and to map out how to support their unique needs as neurodivergent children. So, I created a transition plan, built up my savings, and submitted my resignation in December 2020, with my last day set for January 1, 2021.
By March, I had earned my certification as a professional coach. By June, my daughters’ diagnoses were confirmed. And by November, I officially launched Just LUV Coaching.
That pivot—leaving a long-standing career to walk an unknown path—was terrifying, but it was also the most liberating choice I’ve ever made. I had ambitions to do meaningful, soul-aligned work, but I also had to heal. My mental health had taken a hit, and I knew I couldn’t be the mother I wanted to be if I remained unhappy, broken, or uncared for.
Taking that leap of faith opened the door to my true purpose. Today, I work as a financial coach by day while running my spiritual wellness business, creating courses, selling products, and supporting others on their healing journey.
My pivot wasn’t just a career change—it was a reclamation of self, family, and purpose.
